Playboy meets YouTube
Listen up, ladies of Laramie, Wyo., and other far-flung small American towns nowhere near a Playboy casting session: Now you too can be just like the Girls Next Door!
Of course, by “Girls Next Door” we mean blond and busty Playboy Playmates (like Holly Madison of the E! reality show). The twist? All you have to do is upload a video clip of yourself doing whatever it is that wannabe Playmates do to the new YouTube contest channel.
Playboy calls it an “unprecedented nationwide online search” to commemorate its 55th anniversary. Surely parents in small towns across the Bible Belt who bought their kids computers in high school to do homework are less than excited.
Playboy scouts will scrutunize the clips from their offices in L.A. and Chicago instead of relying on in-person meetings.
“If you think you have what it takes to become part of the Playboy family — and possibly the 55th anniversary Playmate — then the YouTube talent search is the perfect opportunity to get discovered, especially if you can’t make it to one of our casting calls,” Madison said in a press release.
“Just post a short video on YouTube that highlights your best assets — your figure, your face, your sense of humor, and especially your fantastic personality,” she purrs in the release.
“The women with the most impressive videos will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the Playboy Mansion and participate in a Playmate test-shoot with me!”
Ooh, stories from hot 20-year-old blonds from Tulsa? Count us in. After all, we've always said we don't watch Playboy's YouTube channel for the videos.
