Denver man's real, live alien video being saved for a documentary
The Rocky Mountain News (thanks io9) reported yesterday that there's a guy in Denver who claims to have video of a living extraterrestrial, but he's not showing it because he wants to save it for his movie.
Jeff Peckman is the same guy who is attempting to set up an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission in Denver -- ostensibly to allow us to prepare for the inevitable encounter. If you read the ABC News article linked in the previous sentence, you'll see that Peckman even got a professor from Colorado Film School to "authenticate" the footage. That's right, a certified movie expert thinks this is the real thing.
(Amusingly, the quote ABC news gets from Prof. Jerry Hofmann is somewhat more equivocal: "If this was faked, it's the most elaborate fake I've ever seen," he said. "This is no 29-cent puppet." But, er, isn't every hot new UFO video the most elaborate one we've seen? If you were just showing spinning pie plates, it'd be hard to get much attention.)
As someone who's written about UFO hoaxes before, I find it very difficult to take anything like this seriously. If there were actual indisputable alien footage, it would be simultaneously the most incredible scientific discovery in history and the most explosive news story of all time. Scientists, reporters and governments the world over would be clamoring to analyze it. At that point, it seems unlikely that it would be within one UFO believer's power to keep it secret.
UPDATE: This is apparently a still from the video in question. It just so happens to portray the alien peering into someone's window. What could be more recognizably, uninspiredly E.T. than that?
It's guffaw-worthy that the reason he gives for sitting on this bombshell is that he's embroiled in movie talks: "No one will be allowed to film the segment with the extraterrestrial because there is an agreement in place limiting that kind of exposure during negotiations for the documentary," Peckman told the RMN.
Forget just putting it up online and letting everyone judge for themselves. Eveyone knows you can't make money on YouTube! Even with a real live alien that looks better than a 29-cent puppet.

Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Denver man's real, live alien video being saved for a documentary:

According to the Box Office Mojo let's compare BWP and X-Files in terms of earnings.
Blair Witch Project (1999)
Domestic Total Gross: $140,539,099
Worldwide: $248,639,099
Production Budget: $60,000
THE X-FILES
Domestic Total Gross: $83,898,313
Worldwide: $189,198,313
Production Budget: N/A
Still, if that photo capitalizes on the upcoming X-Files movie. It surely did generate some "kind" of attention. =)

This article does not even mention the person who took the video,Stan Romanek. He was on a radio show Thursday night. He has had numerous bizzarre incident's and video of ufo's that I found by searching the web.I suggest people do their own research and don't rely on the media for all of the FACT'S!Why haven't the major new's outlet's covered the story of something that came down in the town of Decatur Alabama around April 25th,2008.It was seen by numerous people and several teenager's witnessed authoritie's loading a 3-4 foot diameter pearl shoped object into an ambulance. It made no sound when it crashed into the ground.Do a search and read it for yourself or go to www.earthfiles.com for a COMPLETE INTERVIEW of eyewitness.Mr. Romanek had a forum on his website but it's been hacked and is having problem's,go figure.I guess some people are really afraid of puppet's!

@Dave; Exactly what I thought when I first heard about it.

Well I have never seen an alien and I wouldn't know what was real or fake or what have you,but one bright, clear, sunny day in the middle of June, my son and I were startled when we saw a silver illuminated disk above the tree line behind the town firestation. It was merely sitting there in the sky and then after a few seconds started moving slowly to the south. It then disappeared into thin air.Poof, gone as though it were never there. I didn't have any means to capture it on film but it did leave me with goosebumps and my five year old wondering "What was that mom?" Alien craft? I have no idea, but at least if its real...leave some of that technology behind before you go,so we will quit frying our planet...

It is well past the year 2000. So why is all the alien footage still grainey and black and white? I mean who (other than film students) uses a Super 8 anymore? Why don't aliens ever go after people with decent video equipment!?
Posted by: Corbett | May 30, 2008 at 11:27 PM
So... after 150 years of humans having the technology to capture images, and in recent times 1 in 3 people caring such technology around on themselves virtually 24 hours a day...... we finally get a glimpse of some stereotypical Grey peeping at jailbait?
LMFAO

I think anyone that thinks we are alone in this vastly infinite universe, really should have their head examined, cause their brain isn't functioning logically. The odds of us being alone in the universe are far greater than us not being alone. Not only that there is too much evidence of ET's and their crafts for me to ignore and there are too many things I have seen myself. Yes this guy is out to make money, that is after all a necessity of this life we live. But it doesn't mean that something isn't real. The whole world believed that the world was flat, is it, just because someone flies above the earth and sends a photo back showing the world is round, are you sure that it is. People don't believe anything to be fact until it happens to them, a fact of life, after all it is hear say until you witness it. And even then, when I do see it with my own eyes, I tend to look at it with an open mind and find the reality and learn what I can before making a decision. I find it interesting and not hard to believe at all that aliens have and are still visiting earth and would someday like to meet and interact with an advanced life form that could help me learn more and more, after all we should all live by a few simple words of wisdom that I have chosen for my lifes moto.
"Always Make New Mistakes!" otherwise you aren't learning anything and are wasting your life. I am only spouting my opinion, thanks for your time.

Why would an alien go stare in someone's window? Why wouldn't it simply beam itself inside the house, if it wanted to go indoors?

Let's just nip this one in the bud, shall we? Let's, for the sake of argument, say that extraterrestrial beings really do exist, and they possess the capacity to cross space/time/whatever to come to Earth and surreptitiously spy on us. Are you really going to believe that creatures with such marvelous technology and/or powers can only divine what goes on in a person's house by PEERING IN THE FLIPPIN' WINDOW? I could buy a toy spyglass from Wal-Mart for $10 and get the same information as Zoltar, all without being seen! I know you want to believe folks, but use a little common sense!

Kha Sekhem Re said "Humans use 6% of 100% of brain matter."
You mean 10%, and that's a MYTH. You can look it up. It's a made-up non-fact.

CORBET to see crystal clear photo's of UFO's do an internet search for "CAPITOLA DRONES" or "BIG BASIN DRONES" taken over the past year in northern California. They have yet to be proven fake's.Because they are so clear some people dismiss them as fake/computer generated but there have been more eyewitness's of these type of craft who have come forward in the past several month's.

Leslie- the footage was shot with infrared video because it was dark, that's why it's black and white. As for going after people with decent video equipment: I tried, with my HD 24P video camera, to catch a military fighter jet flyby on Memorial day. By the time I got my camera and turned it on, there was nothing left but a low rumble and some clouds. Now that was an Earthly, normal, announced event! How often do we really look at the sky? Of all of the hundreds of airplanes that are flying over our heads at any given moment, how often do we actually see them? We tend not to look at the sky that often. Most people don't even know the constellations. The chances of an HD video pro such as myself pointing my camera in exactly the right spot at exactly the right time (at night- what a waste of tape) are still pretty slim.

I run a ufo sightings video website that keeps people entertained for hours, however, "entertained" is the correct word.
Although there are a very small percentage of actual sightings that have to be taken seriously (pilots, military, etc.), the rest are nonsense.
This guy is Denver is pulling a clever P.R. stunt, but that's all it is. First, the video was shot in 2003 by someone else, so you're telling me that if you shoot this history-making footage, you're gonna sit on it for 5 years?
Notice it is shot in black and white. A "Grey" certainly is easier to create in black and white. A black and white camera just happened to be used in 2003?
Notice all the things you don't see. THAT is everything when it comes to leaving questions in peoples minds.
And finally, some guy in Denver has already make a video for 90.00 that, according to reporters, looks very much like the 2003 clip recently shown. 90.00.

Sean K - I love your absolute sense of confidence in your conviction that we'll never see Aliens. It may not make sense for them to travel at the speed of light, but travel through worm holes makes perfect sense. There is an overwhelming amount of testimonies from Military, USAF, and the airline industry about the existence of UFO's. Too many abduction cases to be dismissed as fantasy or delusion. Yes there are the typical hoaxes and misidentifications that make up about 90% of the reported cases, but there is that 10% that is labeled as unknown. If you are looking for the cure for cancer, saying that out of 100 specimens, only 10% were found to be candidates, is pure lameness. ONLY 10%? We should be lucky to find one example.
There is a low resolution version of this video going around the net that doesn't do it justice. Its clear with the high res version that this is eiither real, or the most expensive hoax in history. Hollywood isn't this good without CGI. The video has been analyzed and there is no evidence of tampering. But you'll just continue beliveivng what you want to believe becasue you simply don't want to belive.
Bottom line - Aliens are real my friend. Sorry but we "believer"s are right and you are wrong. Your absolute stamp of truth on the matter points to someone trying desperately to deny something is true Thou protesteth too loudly. I think you should take the advice of what your peers tells us "crackpots" and start facing reality your self. The reality of life on other planets.

This reminds me of a youtube video about the end of the world. Someone truly believes that he knows the end of the world is coming, and how it is going to happen, but how do you prove it?
Search youtube for "houston prophet"

I actually was a witness to a huge UFO during broad daylight, on a rural road, near Alpine, Texas. There were two other men who witnessed the same saucer shaped UFO. I reported our sighting but have never been contacted by anyone. Why? Because the Mainstream Media and governments only leak disinformation about UFO's and Aliens. Have you ever wondered where the trillions of dollars missing from the Pentagon have gone? My guess is that America is making re-engineered UFO's and some of the massive amount of very recent sighting may be from the flights of these re-engineered from real alien UFO craft. The media is giving us part of the truth and mixing in a a little doubt to keep the truth just out of reach.

Everyone is arguing back and forth without the facts. Who better to talk to than the alien? After the press conference I waited until all the press had left and snuck into a roped off area. I witnessed the alien crying because no one would believe him. I could feel his thoughts penetrate into my brain and then transmit themselves in English. I guess as I thought my thoughts he could read my mind because I had no idea that I was transmitting anything. We think everything is very complicated he said but actually the secret to finding scientific truth is to be as simple as possible. He said you know that electricity travels at 186,000 miles per second don't you?. I said Yes. You know that a human being is contained in microscopic DNA don't you? Yes I replied.Put that DNA into it's electrical equivalents and place it on a stream of electrical energy and it will move at 186,000 miles per hour ......reconstitute it by reversing the process at the other end and you have a human being that has travelled 186,000 in one second. You can verify this in your science labs he said. You have time travel in the palm of your hand he said. Now go do it and experience the universe in a whole new dimension

1) Al Gore invented the Internet in his spare time.
2) OBama has visited "all 57 states" and "saw" many of "America's fallen heros" in the audience of his Memorial Day speeck.
3) Hillary has experienced spoken of parallel realities, e.g. the Bosnia "under sniper fire" vs the photos with the flower girl.
4) Billary vividly remembers "the balck churches buring" in Arkansas in his youth - a parallel reality that was missed by the news media of the day.

Yet, you believed all the bull crap about WMD in Iraq, that Hussein was a threat and had ties to Bin Ladin, and that we should "fight them there, so we don't have to fight them here"(tm).

There is more evidence to support the belief that aliens visit this planet then any other series of events in history. Thousands of eye witness accounts of extra terrestrial craft coming from every walk of life Private citizens, the military, pilots, goverment officials, law enforcment, sea-men, navy officers, scientists and pretty much anyone else you can think of. There are mountains of video evidence, countless photographs and untold numbers of investigators researching the subject. Yet with all of this people still say theres no evidence. There is more evidence to prove the existence of alien life then there is to prove the existence of Jesus. Yet no one believes. If it's evidence a person is looking for, you have to look further then your local news and you have to be willing to except the possibility that there may be something out there, but there are mountains of evidence for you to sift through. Not just the few videos and pictures that make it out to general public. Question is, if all this evidence isn't enough, then what will ever be enough?
Is this video real? Who knows, my first thought is it's probably fake. I approach most things from the angle of believeing it a hoax, accepting the possibility it's real, then if the event can't be disproven it's something to consider. If this video is real, I do agree that it should simply have been released to the public and let everyone make up thier own mind. No that it matters becuase most will refuse to believe it anyway. People have been conditioned to doubt.
After all, MK Ultra never happened right? The stuff of conspiracy theorists. Forget the senate and congressional hearings. The lawsuits (In the US and Canada), the amounts awarded and the mountains of evidence proving it's existence. The pit full of childrens bodies outside Montreal that now marks a mass grave. Just like all the close encounters out there, they never happened either. So remember, do as your told, don't ask, tow the line and go to bed like good little boys and girls. Then maybe, just maybe you'll get a cookie from Uncle Sam.
