Wayans set to jump into Web comedy swamp

Alana Semuels reported today that Damon Wayans is joining the growing parade of celebrities who are making big bets on the Internet.  Wayans' subject matter will include "an African American leprechaun pimp, a thieving airport security guard and an adulterous Burger King."

Wayans believes that his site, WayOutTV.com -- going live later this month -- will be able to invert precedent and attract a regular audience, something that sites like FunnyOrDie, MyDamnChannel.com, SuperDeluxe and Heavy.com haven't had much luck with.  But then again, they didn't have a black leprechaun either. . . .
