Kids against Scientology

11:25 AM PT, Feb 29 2008

There's a new anti-Scientology website up called "ExScientologyKids.com," which looks to have been started by three young women who left the church, one of whom is Jenna Miscavige Hill, the niece of church head David Miscavige.  Here's part of what they say in their intro:

Most of the people that write for this site have had extremely negative experiences in Scientology. Some of us have lost our families due to Scientology's Disconnection Policy, some of us have experienced physical abuse, and some of us were denied a proper education.

The admin page lists Miscavige Hill, Kendra Wiseman ("Kendra's parents and most of her family disconnected from her in 2005 when she refused to stop speaking to anti-Scientologists online") and Astra Woodcraft, whose bio says she "left Scientology for good when the church tried to pressure her to have an abortion."

"For what it's worth," says the welcome page,"we offer non-judgemental support for those who are still in Scientology, discussion and debate for those who've already left, and a plethora of easy-to-understand references for the curious."

I am Anonymous and I approve of this message.

There are some who say this campaign against the Church of Scientology is motivated by religious bigotry and internet hackers. This is not so. We are here because the crimes and abuses that these brave women themselves are revealing are made known to us, the people of the internet.

Anonymous is the internet, and all who believe in the free flow of information and knowledge. The Church of Scientology was not wise in seeking to censor it. By there actions, we came to know of the forced abortions, RPF Gulag camps, and genuine abuse of human rights. Therefore, our campaign shall continue, and will not stop until the general public is fully aware of the true extent of Scientologies crimes.

Bless those girls.

Jane

Good for those girls. I can't imagine being forced- by my religion!- to have an abortion. I've heard that people who speak out against Scientology get harassed by church members- they call it "fair game". I hope that these girls are taking proper precautions to ensure their safety- and I applaud their courage.

Operation Reconnect

I am so proud of these brave women!

With this development, the tipping point is closer yet... and someday, soon, the families of Scientology will be Reconnected!

Each day, more wake up and walk away from the Orgs and declare "This is freedom!"

Soon the Orgs will be very, very lonely places.

This was so needed... Good job! You are going to help so many people!
I am sure your site will grow and grow, and the light of truth will shine forth!

To those who continue to prop up the corruption of the leaders of the Corporation of Scientology:
Beware the Ides of March

I am very glad to see this article posted here -- these brave women need to have their voices heard by the world. Anonymous has no qualms with the religion of Scientology, but when the Church makes things such as this happen to its children and to all its members, it's unacceptable.
Nobody should have to ay hundreds of thousands of dollars for "enlightenment" after being fooled into a fake religion. If you want to practice Scientology, join FreeZone -- they use the same tech, and it's free!
Anonymous shall systematically dismattle the Church in its present form -- and those who have been wronged will be righted.

The Church of Scientology is a despicable criminal organization which, through the indoctrination of its members, predation upon those in need, the dissemination of lies regarding its nature, and sadistic retaliatory practices against its critics and through its cynical abuse of civil liberties has forfeit any right it had to exist.

Actions speak louder than words. In the name of those who have been silenced by the criminal organization that is the Church of Scientology, Anonymous will be heard. Our cause is just. We shall prevail.

Come on out to our Saturday, March 15 festivies. We will be having cake in honor of the birthday of one L Ron Hubbard, even though he does not deserve it. The rest of the day, we will be protesting the inhumane practices of the Cult of $cientology. See you there!

Happy and Free

These young women have extremely moving stories. What an eye-opener! Scientologists, please set aside the idea that people are trying to stop you from practicing your religion. No one is trying to take that right from you. It is the abusive policies of your church which are responsible for these three stories (and countless others) that people are trying to stop. I applaud the bravery of these women and hope more who have remained silent will finally feel they can speak.

Knowledge is free.

David Anonymous

Join us on March 15th outside Scientology centers worldwide! Anonymous shows its support and gives out cake! (Fellow Anons: bring cake. I will.)

TC

These are very dishonest people. Scientologists would never lean toward abortion and would not interfere with one's right to decide per law. Mr. Hubbard looks unfavorably upon abortion and makes this very clear in his writings. This is well known and agreed upon in the Scientology community. There is also never phystical abuse or harm brought by members in any way and if there ever were either of the above, the person so doing would be assigned to ethics training and correct any damage done from his or her acts or leadership influence.

These people are dishonest and will come to eventually open up publically to the truth. This I believe is nothing more than a distraction from the growing exposure to psychiatric crimes and fraud.

Anorumi

I love how a scientologist's response to criticism is EXACTLY the way it was documented on the website. Way to go, falling right into a predictable pattern!

Instead of screaming "LIes!" like someone who has something to hide, why don't you bring out the proof? Honestly, if what they are saying really are lies, and this was my church, I'd be the first to demand an open investigation. That you aren't doing so supports the girls' positions all the more, and exposes YOU for the lying scum that you are.

jason

I have been reading about this "church for years and I have noticed the same patterns repeatedly of people who were involved in scientology sharing similar tales of the abusiveness of this group and the dehumanizing way that it treats anyone who signs on as staff. When so many people share such similar tales it is time to listen, I also notice that those who are still involved in this group will deny that there is any wrongdoing even in cases that have been well documented as criminal behavior such as scientologies attempts to silence critics by manufacturing false evidence of criminality as in the Paulette Cooper case (Google operation freakout) or scientologies use of espionage techniques such as placing eavesdropping bugs in government offices (Google operation snow white). It has been well documented that L Ron Hubbard was a fraud, a bigamist, a moneyhungry egomaniac who literally was on the run from criminal charges till his dying day and this aspect of his personality has been stamped so deeply on his "church" that expecting reform is hopeless.
If you are reading this I do not ask you to believe me but I do ask you to research this group on the internet and see for yourself the harm that they do.

Terryeo

This is wonderful news! Ever since I left the so-called Church of Scientology due to David Miscavige horribly squirrelling Lafayette Ronald Hubbard's tech (even though I wonder if he was making it all up because he died with psychiatric drugs in his system) I've been hoping that there was some way for my friend James and I to help out all the innocent children that are still trapped in the jaws of the Sea Org and RPF. Thank you, ex scientologist kids for helping in the best way that you possibly can! I only hope that more scientologist teens find their way to your site and others like xenu.net and xenutv.com! Thank you again!

ellaygurl

TC, are you suggesting that all the stories on the website are lies? Why would they all be lying? And what do you mean by psychiatric crimes and fraud? Are you joking or something...I'm sorry but I don't really understand why you are saying those strange things.

Those girls have been through so much pain, why do you say they are liars with no proof?

Anonymous

Jenna Miscavige Hill is a liar? Are you insinuating that the niece of David Miscavige has some kind of hidden crimes or that these brave young women have not suffered, TC? I know that the Church of Scientology teaches that all those who leave must be wrong and evil and criminal, but these are your children, your friends. People you have grown up with and looked after. Perhaps L. Ron Hubbard was against such things as abuse and abortion, but we all know that David Miscavige has been squirreling the tech. Orders from above are carried out instead of what LRH outlined and these abuses not only exist, but are covered up within the Church of Scientology. Kudos to these young women for their bravery and to all those raised in the Church who left and now have a safe community to talk about their experiences.

Jackson

TC, I would assume you are a Scientologist sent here to squash our discussion but let me ask you some questions, how come all 3 of these women and many others underwent the same experience? Why are these people not allowed to communicate with their family anymore? Their stories all share the same common tone of abuse and disconnection. If children of the highest ranking CoS officials are treated in this way, what harms are being done to the "normal" folk?

Let's not change focus to psychiatry, TC. The Church of Scientology has no cure for mental illnesses. As for fraud, you need not look any further than your own church.

Anonymous

A fun way to get rid of the pro-scientology propaganda trolls is to quote "sacred" texts that only the high levels are allowed to read. Lower levels believe they will catch pneumonia if they even glance at it. So, here's some random Hubbard for ya!

"You can go around asking questions with a tape recorder going. Play it back and
you will notice the voice tone rises on a question and goes down on a statement. So the
right way to assess the questions would be to have a slight upcurve at the end, and
actually assess it as a question." [1978 HCOB]

Enturbulated

TC is a Scino plant, he is here to earn points in his cult by trying to prop up the disaster that is $cientology.

What Hubbard thinks doesn't matter, Hubbard died many years ago, and he was a drunken, crazy lunatic who hoodwinked all the folk in the cult.

This cult is going out of business, soon and those in the cult better decide quickly if they want to be free now and be part of the solution, or be indicted for their crimes.

Its ending.

Soon.

Expect us.

Marge

Anorumi wrote: "Honestly, if what they are saying really are lies, and this was my church, I'd be the first to demand an open investigation."

You really think so? You wouldn't demand that those making the accusations provide the proof first? Of course you would.

The fact is, whenever accusations against Scientology like these have been looked into in detail in the past, they have almost always been incomplete stories with important parts omitted, and written a way to make the target look bad and the person look great.

For those looking for the Scientologists' side to the story and answers to the common "Scientology Myths", I would recommend this website which is run by a private Scientologist in her spare time:
http://scientologymyths.info

David

For the record, I was raised by a Scientologist mom, and it was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. I had the best time in the public high school I went to, had the greatest friends (who I'm still great friends with 10 years later), and ended up in the top ten of my 500 student class. I tried studying Scientology when I was about 11, but it wasn't until I was 15 that I really started to make sense of it all and "made it my own". And I credit all those positive experiences in high school to having done this. It really changed my life.

The stories from the three girls at that website, are the exception rather than the rule.

I don't want to minimize their negative experiences, but I just want people to know that theirs is not at all the typical experience for Scientology kids.

Anorumi

Hi sci-plant. Trying to change your downstat status? It's futile you know.

These aren't the only three people who have spoken of the abuses. We're talking hundreds, as well as paper documents and books published by professionals. Yes, if something horrible was rumored to be happening in my church, and the news was that widespread, I would be the first to demand an investigation of my church. Why? Because supposedly I would love my church, and want it to be cleared of its bad name, or if not cleared, I'd want the rot out. Second, I would never hesitate to do something to prevent people from being hurt. Too many times in history a tragedy is created because people looked the other way, or didn't do things quickly enough, or spent time accusing others of lying while the rot continued to grow under their very noses.

I would investigate even if the rumor was slight. Better safe than sorry, especially when children are involved. This is what a moral, ethical person would do Marge. Doesn't Scientology teach people to never hesitate to do the right thing? What's keeping you?

Will Smith

it saddens me to see the link to sci myths site. Its deeply depressing in fact. I would say to people, sure, read the site. Then read ANY other source of information found with a google search regarding it. Operation freakout, operation snow white, rpf, freeloaders debt, tr-l the list goes on and on. You deny on your site such things as tr-l, the Scientology training program that teaches you how to lie effectively. But the truth, of this and many more are located here, via the fishman affidavit, sword court testimony, and legally free as court documents examples of Scientology internal documents and memos. Scientology has tried to stop this site very court action at the highest level, no less than three times, and the court has sided with him every time.

http://www.spaink.net/fishman/index2.html

So if there is proven documentation that tr - l existed, and fair game existed, that puts us in a paradox when dealing with scientologists online.

On the one hand, you could be an OSA (Scientology CIA) agent, in which case you have taken tr-l to learn to effectively lie, and no word coming out of your mouth should be given an ounce of credence.

On the other hand, you could just be some low level scientologist that hasn't even gone OT yet, or isn't part of OSA or sea org, in which case you wouldn't have even heard of TR-L, and in denying it would not be lying, since we would technically know ten times more about your own religion than you do, you would not know if the crap you are being told to spout is true or not, but like most people, you will believe those you trust and love, and for you, thats Scientology.

Its Scientology because the system the church operates is designed to extract all anti Scientology sources from your lives. Be it media through your net nanny programs, friends or family through disconnect, or critics through fair game.

Anyone who is not with you is the enemy and cannot be trusted, even if they left the org only hours ago, they are fallen, they are liars who are hiding crimes and are out to destroy Scientology.

Of the freezoners, the church calls them pyramid schemes.

Of the governments who oppose them, the church calls them abusers of human rights.

Of the critics, the church calls them suppressors of free speech and liars.

Of anonymous, the church calls them terrorists.

It is with the dark brush of their own deeds, that Scientology would try to paint those who would dare to stand against them. The fixed donations for services, the injustice of the rpf, the frivolous litigation not to defeat opponents but to bankrupt them and the attempts to frame opponents for bomb threats, documented in Scientology files taken by the US government.

When Scientology is attacked, it is with court documents, with evidence, with testimony.
When Scientology counters it, its entire strategy can be summed up thusly.

These people are wrong, because we say so. Don't listen to everyone else, they have bad information on us.

AND YET DAY AFTER DAY, BROKEN SHELLS OF HUMAN BEINGS FALL FROM SCIENTOLOGY, LEAVING A TRAIL THAT SPEAKS IN UNISON OF THAT ORGANISATIONS MISDEEDS.

And the 95 percent of scientologists who are not in the sea org, or OAS or even OT will continue to funnel money into the organisation, in willing and blissful ignorance of the truth, a truth which they are all too willing to ignore, just to stumble down that bridge to total freedom.

I would finally beg Scientology to answer me this.

If the very definition of Scientology is 'The study of truth' , how can the truth be studied, how can the path to total freedom be followed, if that truth and freedom is so fragile, that all viewpoints, facts and evidence opposing it are automatically and openly declared incorrect.

Just how solid is that bridge, when you are told the slightest negative thought even in someone close to you, can prevent you from progressing on it. Would you say that bridge is broad, and strong and made of stone, like all the book covers show?

When i see the bridge in my mind, a see a rickety few strand of rope and plank, i see people clinging desperately to it. People, trying to reach hope. People wanting to make the world better. And the further these people go, the worse that bridge gets. And it gets to a point where you are told, if this negative friend isn't discarded, if the influences against Scientology aren't cast aside or if you turn back, their weight on you will make the bridge fall. And you will fall with it.

And all the while, everyone is smiling.

It is so deeply, deeply sad.

Victor

David, the further away from the center core and management of Scientology you are, the better your chances are of having a positive Scientology experience. When you get all the way to the Sea Org (the higher levels of Scientology management), it is a rule, not an exception to have such experiences as described by these girls. Now, either you have not had them yourself, in which case I am happy for you, or you just aren't telling the truth, in which case I'm sorry for you. At the very top of Scientology, on the International Base, you are no longer even allowed to get married, forced abortions being "old news" there. I understand that it may still be a positive experience to be a Scientologist, especially if you are a public and don't mind all your money going to Scientology. You seem to get something untangible, happiness, knowledge or ability out of the application of basic Scientology technology. Yes, you certainly can. The unfortunate truth is, you just haven't looked, or haven't gotten far enough or high enough into it. I know you may not believe me yet, if you haven't witnessed it for yourself, but one day you will have a very different view. Very different. Yours truly, Victor.
