Michele Bachmann says that the media wants her and Sarah Palin to mix it up, but she won’t stoop to that level.

When asked by a voter in South Carolina on Wednesday about her relationship with the former Alaska governor, Bachmann delivered the quote of the day.

‘They want to see two girls come together and have a mud wrestling fight, and I am not going to give that to them,’ Bachmann said, according to CNN.

The Minnesota representative and Iowa native has long said that she and Palin are friends. Despite the barbs thrown at the hockey mom from Bachmann’s advisor, the conservative lawmaker continues to play the role of the good cop.

‘This race is wide open, and we can accommodate all the candidates who want to come in,’ she said.

During a question-and-answer session in Daniel Island, S.C., a Bachmann supporter yelled out, ‘You make me tingle, Michele!’

To which Bachmann curiously replied with the New Hampshire motto: ‘Live free or die!’
