Donald Trump, like a hungry dog unwilling to let go of a bone, not only refuses to stop attacking President Obama over his birth certificate, but Monday released his own certificate of birth to a conservative website.

Trump, the billionaire television star and real estate mogul, was on ‘Fox and Friends’ Monday morning beating the ‘birther’ drum.

‘Why doesn’t he show his birth certificate?’ Trump asked the hosts of the talk show, echoing what he repeated on ‘The View’ last week. ‘I wish he would, because I think it’s a terrible pale that’s hanging over him.’

Later Trump, who has hinted at running for the Republican nomination for president, placed doubt upon Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie’s statement that he remembers Obama as a baby in Hawaii.

‘What bothers me is that some people who should know better are trying to use this for political reasons,’ Abercrombie said in late 2010. ‘Maybe I’m the only one in the country that could look you right in the eye right now and tell you, ‘I was here when that baby was born.’ ‘

Trump, however, thinks that Abercrombie, a Democrat, is defending Obama for political reasons.

‘I think this guy should be investigated,’ Trump said of Abercrombie. ‘He remembers when Obama was born; give me a break. He is just trying to do something for his party.’

Some claim the president was born in Africa and thus does not meet constitutional requirements to hold the nation’s highest office. Those who don’t believe Obama was born in Hawaii are often called birthers. Trump has defended the birthers and went a step further Monday when he released his birth certificate to Newsmax.

‘It took me one hour to get my birth certificate. It’s inconceivable that, after four years of questioning, the president still hasn’t produced his birth certificate,’ Trump told the website, ignoring Obama’s Certificate of Live Birth that has been on the Ticket, and elsewhere, for years.

Trump may be aggressive, but he hasn’t gone as far as conservative Allen Keyes went in 2009.

‘The person you call President Obama, and I frankly refuse to call him that, at the moment he is somebody who is kind of an alleged usurper, who is alleged to be someone who is occupying that office without constitutional warrant to do so,’ Keyes, who lost to Obama for U.S. Senate seat in 2004, stated in a long tirade.
