Obama recruits an army of community organizers to carry his 'movement forward for years to come'
The community organizer who became president has launched a massive pre-reelection year campaign to assemble and train an army of new community organizers to carry Obama's "movement forward for years to come."
Strengthening "our democracy" presumably has something to do with reelecting the revered leader in 2012.
However, the Organizing for America recruiting message says nothing about politics or election campaigns and strangely talks in military terms of "a grassroots program that aims to put boots on the ground and help foster a new generation of leaders -- not just to help win elections but to strengthen our democracy in communities across the country."
The same Obama campaign group was reported involved in fomenting and facilitating the ongoing Wisconsin protests against Gov. Scott Walker's budget plans.
The message about what it calls the "Summer Organizing Fellowship" adds: "Effective organizing doesn't happen in a vacuum. It takes commitment, time, and hard work to build a movement around a cause." It does not specify what the "cause" is, other than promoting Obama and his agenda.
News of the community organizer drive went out in an e-mail to millions of supporters and past donors Tuesday night by the ongoing arm of the Obama campaign, Organizing for America.
It appealed for workers of all ages to volunteer to undergo professional organizational training this summer for stationing in communities all over the nation to drive President Obama's social and political agenda.
The cadres "will be assigned to a specific community," the message informs, "where they'll work to organize supporters street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood."
Their job will involve recruiting additional Obama workers, running Obama-related events, knocking on doors to talk of Obama "and lay new groundwork to carry this movement forward for years to come."
"In the end," the Obama campaign appeal says of the community organizer corps, "their work will take our grassroots power to an impressive new level."
The appeal cites as one role model Nikki Giancola who underwent the training, then quit her middle school teacher's job to become a regional Obama field director and the satisfaction she felt "in helping millions of people."
Another community organizer, Paras Patel, tells of one unforgettable moment actually meeting the leader for whom they all labor, President Obama. "He shook my hand," Patel recounts, "and told me that he was proud of me."
No mention of an Obama organizer flag, uniform -- or salute.

I am true to but one revolution, the one that penned it principles and values as a binding contract of individual freedom...the American Revolution.
The spoken rhetoric of a hope without such a contract, which has produced all other "people" revolutions made their victories not by choice, but by Lynch Mobs; trading prosperity for corruption; ending hope only to gain despair.

Something so scary that the congress...senate etc....need to keep the American people informed about who Obamas meets with...what is said in these meetings....Why is Code Pink in Egypt the day before the riots...why are Union leaders in the White House several times a week? Why is Obama associated with code pink..george soros...van jones..bill aryers...his best friend Valerie Jarrett was in Egypt with code pink.....Why? I assume by your name that you are of a minority status and as such I can understand your feelings towards President Obama. Heck it is quite a big deal that we have a half black President in this day and age. That's right I said half black. Don't be fooled by the thought that President Obama struggled economically as a child or that he never had a loving family.
The facts are that the "white half" of President Obama's family provided him with a very comfortable upbringing. While the black half left he and his mother to further his own career. By-the-way he fathered two more children with two other mothers. That makes four kids with four different Mom's that is indeed something to be proud of. Anyway and to continue, President Obama had the opportunity to attend a very prestigious private school in Hawaii. He then went on to Columbia University and ultimately Harvard law school. All with no student loans and or disclosed source of income. Sounds like the "man" was helping him along and he didn't want any of his homies in da hood to find out. Then it gets a little hazy for me. He graduates from one of the premier law schools in the country and doesn't take a job with a law firm. Rather he starts his community organizing career. I don't know, it seems that most people who "bring themselves up by the boot straps" tend to have huge financial burdens at this point in their adult life. No real savings, student loans, housing and living expenses, auto loans, car insurance etc... I was not aware that a career community organizer made such an attractive salary to cover the aforementioned "financial burdens", especially in the South side of Chicago. Well one could ponder how all that came together but I would rather move on.
Your next comment "Obama did a heck of a lot between organizing and becoming president. Look it up, haters." Well although I don't consider myself a hater, I took you up on the challenge of "looking it up" and for the life of me I cant find a single thing to point to where I could say that President Obama had done anything to give him the experience to become our President. Don't go down his extensive Political career path. We know he was a State Senator who voted "present" 130 times and we know he was a US Senator for 140 days before he left to campaign for President.
President Obama and his Administration are in complete and open failure mode. This goes from out of control federal spending, failure to pass a federal budget, out of site unemployment, record foreclosures, unpopular legislation and oh yes, dismal foreign policy... and please... leave the George W. Bush thing behind. President Obama for all intensive purposes, has been in charge of this country since November 2008 it's now February 2011. That is almost 2 and a half years. It can't be "Ws" fault anymore.
I would suggest that you take a minute and actually research the background of our current President. Look at the state of our Republic. Look at how he has damaged our relationships with our key allies and finally look at how he has emboldened our enemies. This way you can make a better unformed choice at the ballot box in 2012. President Obama and The Liberal Democratic machine will be voted out of office. Hopefully, once and for all.

I didnt vote for him before, but I was one to buy into the ovatures of "change we can believe in" well America has paid enough already with this Hiprocrit, While he has Lied to the American people far to much, I guerantee you he will not get a second term, this man wont even be on the Ballot in 12 states unless he comes out with his original Birth Certificate, I have a little doubte wether he has it, but I am more convinced that there is something in it that he does not want people to see, Along the lines of Islam. I am prepared to vote for Trump, or Paul thats is. I wish for the federal government to rain in the FEDS under Bernanky. I have some other thoughts on how to help our Country survive but for now I am buying commodities and watching the feds spend spend spend, all the while raking in cash. You dont like it, stop spending money U dont have. that simple.

This was started informally; i.e., 'grassroots'; by BHO's minions in 2008. This only publicizes and formally 'exposes' what will have to be fought for yerars to come. It's all about income redistribution, reparations, socialization etc. Yes, more hoax and chains, and done with the most benvolent of reasons - NOT.

if these so called "community organizers" would spend their time productively producing a good or service that the public wants to buy versus going around telling everyone what there problem is and who's to blame for it all, maybe they and their "follwoers" wouldn't be so unhappy all the time and the problems they profess to exist would go away. Instead of being a parasite of society, they should become productive members ofd society and stop leaching of of the productive (working) class of people.

It's called a ground game, and every single politician has one. It's knocking on the doors, getting out the vote, and discussing issues at the community level...you know...democracy! Every single campaign of any political party has volunteers who answer calls and pass out signs. If you haven't noticed it every single election cycle of your life, you haven't been looking.
Obama is just better at motivating people to do it, and you hate him for it.

I have read a lot of the comments, but not all. There is a lot of complaining, and rightfully so, but it is time for us to organize, to create a massive grass-roots movement, putting boots on the ground, which is army speak for doing what it takes to get the mission done, and prove to the minority that we do not countenance their politics, methods, or hatred of what America was meant to be. They want to change the fundamentals of the country by illegal means. We must stand against it, street by street, house by house, person by person.

This should be a surprise to no one! In fact it's so predictable as to be pedestrian. But is it dangerous; yes! Militancy on the left is a consistent thems of their politics and tactics going back many, many decades: America, Europe, South America and Africa.
Stanley Kurtz has done a remarkable job of tracing the community organizing roots and hard left connections of The President in "Radical-in-Chief. The sad part of Mr. Kurtz's work is that much of it was done in advance of the last election and was effectively supressed by the MS Media.
Community organizing is all he knows! When you're in trouble you tend to gravitate to where you're comfortable and that is what the Obama campaign will and has done. It's all they know and their confidence in the concept of community organizing as a vehicle for change is well established.
Well established, as well, are the results of community organizating efforts. Fannie and Freddy's collapse, Welfare in the 70's and 80's, food stamps and the explosion of "social justice" programs.
