Concluding 2010 and starting 2011 with some 'Amazing Grace'

Before you head out for one of the top social nights of the year and that familiar midnight song, take a listen to this evocative and familiar one, now entering its 239th year of moving souls.

A good moment to savor or ponder the concluding year one last time. You'll never have it again. (Click the box with the four arrows bottom right for the full screen effect.)

"Amazing Grace" was written, probably in 1772, by John Newton, a former sea captain/slave trader who had become an Anglican minister in Britain.

Very touching, Andrew. Thank you. And. . . . . Happy New Year! <3

Andrew! A mighty fine way to begin the new year. A faithful way, as well. Thanks.
