Social media: Tweet questions to the president

In conjunction with MTV and other Viacom channels, President Obama is scheduled to participate in a live town hall Thursday.

The live event is scheduled for 1 p.m. PDT (4 p.m. EDT).

In front of at least 250 young people, the president is to answer questions from the audience and Twitter submissions.

To submit a question, use the hashtag #ask and then tack on the subject you'd like to inquire about.

For instance, if your question is about jobs, use #askjobs. If your question is about the economy, use #askeconomy. For energy, use #askenergy.

To tune in, check channels MTV, BET or CMT.
