Ominous new Gallup findings for Democrats: Blacks still love Obama, others not so much

The good news for President Obama is his popular support among blacks is holding steady at 91%.

The bad news is no other group of potential voters likes him that much.

In fact, 29 days before his first midterm elections, the Democrat's approval ratings remain mired below 50%.

A new Gallup Poll this morning finds his approval rating for September was 45%, almost the same as August's 44%. Obama's not exceeded the crucial 50% level in a single month so far this year.

Since Obama's name is not on any ballot Nov. 2, the proportions of Americans who like or dislike the fellow on Oct. 1 of a midterm election year shouldn't matter, in theory. However, history indicates otherwise.

Presidents with approval ratings below 50% at midterm time see their party suffer substantial losses in its congressional membership, regardless of how much explaining and blaming the president attempts in the campaign leading up to what becomes, in effect, a referendum on the president.

And since Democrats currently hold substantial majorities in both the Senate and House of Representatives, they have substantially more seats to lose. A switch of 39 House and 10 Senate seats would give control of both houses to the Republicans for the first time since they lost it in 2007.

Democrats (79%) and liberals (75%) still like Obama a lot.

But after that, his approval percentage goes to the deep south. Support among even young people is down: 57%. Hispanics: 55%. Moderates: 54%. Unmarrieds: 53%. Easterners: 52%. Women: 47%. Midwesterners and Westerners: 45%.

Men: 43%. Southerners: 41%. Independents: 40%. Marrieds: 39%. Seniors: 38%. Whites: 36%. Conservatives: 23%.

Amazingly, among Republicans Obama still manages to hold the support of 12%.

Name one thing that liberals have done to improve the social and economic condition of blacks. Your votes are being bought with empty promises. Government can do NOTHING for you. You must do for YOURSELVES and conservatives are all about creating a climate for INDIVIDUAL success based upon merit (content of your character, if you will) and NOT being granted political favor because of the color of your skin.

A few reminders about this so-called Administration:

-This election was historic: It is the first time in American History that a swooning public elected a man to the highest office in the land who is supremely unqualified to be there.

-Black people saying they like him by the % numbers that they say does, sad to say, indicate that many Black people see color only... The reason is that there were plenty of well educated, successful people of color who voted for him and continue to support him.

But why is he a charlatan? A Man Who Would Be King, [every meaning] in the White House? Hundreds of reasons including:

-He broke all [not 1 or 2 or 6, but ALL] of his campaign promises and then the White House acted indignantly in response to questions as to why...

-He has consistently lied fully and completely and even been caught red-handed multiple times by having his own speeches played back to him and he just stares right at the questioner and spins a lie around his taped words.

-Obama promised during campaigning that all bills and laws to be voted on would be put up on the web site at WhiteHouse.gov a full 5 (FIVE) days before a vote was to be taken so that the American People can see it and comment on it. How many bills were put up there for 5 days? NONE. NOT ONE. When confronted what did he say? He said it was imperative to get certain legislation passed so it couldnt happen. In other words, it was a hollow promise, one of many...

-Congress has been asked to vote on Bills THEY HAVE NOT EVEN SEEN AND WHICH WOULD NOT BE PROVIDED TO THEM WHEN THEY DEMANDED COPIES!. Sound unbelievable? Its not and its true. You can go to YouTube and watch the CSPAN posts showing Congress and Senate republicans demanding to see bills that were not provided and being told by the house and senate chairs that will not be provided but they had to vote.

- Speaking of CSPAN, do you recall when Obama was campaigning [same old refrain there], he said that the Healthcare talks would all be shown on CSPAN and that the administration would show "historic transparency".. Do you recall what happened when the healthcare talks started? They went behind closed doors and in fact even restricted REPUBLICAN ACCESS. You cant make this stuff up you know.

-He promised there would be NO LOBBYISTS in his administration in key positions. This he said many times.. And then he proceeded to fill KEY POSITIONS WITH LOBBYISTS!!! Excuse? Same he gave for Geithner the tax cheat: "They are the best people for the job".. Really? In a country full of incredibly smart people you can only find a tax cheat, albeit a smart one, to fill the role of TREASURY SECRETARY?!?!

-The vast unemployment concern was SUPPOSED to be mitigated by the so-called Stimulus bill...What the Stimulus ended up doing, as now admitted by the Administration, was to add Trillions of dollars of debt to children being born now, and in fact had the opposite effect: the % unemployment shot up to 10% from 8.

-ObamaCare, the much touted plan to change the face of health care has done so. It is already having ripple effects in private insurers, with rates going sky high as they prepare for the inevitable onslaught. Employers will be fined unless they sign on to this new health care bill but many have said they will pay the fine rather than sacrifice the quality of care for their employees... Meanwhile, Obama, again during the campaign of course, said that individuals will still be able to keep their insurance plans. Comforting... but not at all true. Why? Because employers will be forced over time to use this new health care plan, and the employee technically could continue their plan ... BUT... since they will no longer be part of the larger group plan at the employer, they will be paying the individual rates... which average over a THOUSAND dollars more per MONTH. But technically, they can keep their old plan you see... Technically...

Obama needs to be severely crippled politically. He needs to be removed from office but first he needs to be crippled in this election. Dont forget this Liberals:

Obama's numbers are good, overall. Within the next three weeks his numbers will rise and on November 2nd, the Democrats will retain a majority in the House and the Senate. I do realize that this flies in the face of all of the polling but the polling is wrong. We will see young voters and even new voters voting in this mid-term election like never before. These voters are not oblivious to what has been going on and how the Republicans have attempted to sabotage economic recovery. They will be sending Fox News and others who distort the situation a strong message on November 2nd.

First, I doubt that 91% of blacks really do approve of Obama and his policies; after all, many blacks are now part of the middle and upper middle class. I bet many blacks simply take the easy way out and say they support Obama so as not to be labeled "Uncle Toms". That said, the vast majority of blacks do support Obama and the socialist democrats because they have bought into the pandering and propaganda of the democrats for several decades. Obama may be holding strong among Black voters, but there is a new Black Conservative Caucus on the horizon. Consider that there are 30 Black Tea Party Conservatives running very strong in their Congressional races. This is an unprcedented historical fact. Someone else's polling at the beginning of August had O's DISAPPROVAL number among People of Color (all free now--mostly) at 13% and climbing; what Gallup suggests is that PoC are now suddenly liking him more. (The GOP landslide in 1994 featured the Dems only getting 85% of the PoC vote.) Results too would depend on how the question is asked, say, How do you rate O. as a person? vs. How do you rate O.'s job as President vs. How do you rate the job O. is doing on the USA. (I'll be mean and remind readers that Gallup was one of the guys who predicted "Dewey Sweeps Nation".)
