We join in celebrating one of the great achievements in history, when 56 brave souls pledged their lives, liberty, and sacred honor to declare that America deserved to be free. More than two centuries later, it can be easy to take their act for granted. However, we must remember ... that the men who signed the declaration in Philadelphia took.... extraordinary risk, and all who fought in the Revolution showed tremendous courage. Their example has inspired generations of Americans to defend our freedom, including those who serve on the front lines in Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere this Fourth of July. As we celebrate this weekend, I hope all Americans will take a moment to honor those who have made our freedom possible, and to renew our commitment to building a democracy that lives up to the ideals they advanced and the sacrifices they made. Bill White (Texas):  Before the 50th anniversary of the Fourth of July, Jefferson wrote that the each Fourth may be "to the world ... the signal of arousing men to burst the chains under which ... superstition had persuaded them to bind themselves, and to assume the blessings and security of self-government." Then on July 4, 1826, he passed from this life, as did that great Revolutionary, his political foe and dear friend, John Adams.

Tens of thousands of people -- including volunteers, private citizens, local communities, and public servants from Interior, the Coast Guard and other agencies -- are working around the clock to protect the Gulf Coast. They are champions of conservation at a moment when their country needs them.

As we move towards Independence from Ken Salazar's tyranny, let us contribute and dedicate as many Americans as possible to the protection of the Gulf Coast from the ECOCIDEsalaCZAR. Tens of thousands of people -- including volunteers, private citizens, local communities, and public servants from Interior, the Coast Guard and other agencies -- are working around the clock to get rid of Ken Salazar. They are champions of sanity at a moment when their country needs them.

Clueless John McCain and people like him do not get at all what Independence Day is all about.

Independence Day is NOT ABOUT the U.S. military. In fact, Independence Day is the day to celebrate the core essence of human nature, what is natural about being human -- the inate right to be free from any government, from any military, from any rulers.

McCain suffers from deeply flawed thinking. The day to remember soldiers, who McCain wrongly calls "military servicemen and women" is Veterans' Day.

Wrongly, McCain says that the U.S. military protect our freedom across the globe.

Not one soldier in Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere defends the Freedom of each American. All soldiers outside of the U.S.A. are there at the behest of politicians and their financial backers, doing the bidding of these politicians and backers who seek to fulfill their own wants and future gains.

The defense of Freedom happens here inside the U.S.A. when individuals stand up against our politicians and bureaucrats, that is, our government, the Officialdom, which includes the U.S. military, local police, state police, and every kind of meddling bureaucrat.

When people protest, when people fight government with lawsuits, when people refuse to help government enforce laws against other Americans -- that is when each Freedom gets defended most.

Those persons who help to protect and defend each man and woman's Freedom from the encroachment of Officialdom -- these are the ones we should celebrate today.

Independence Day is the day we celebrate 56 men who pledged their lives to fight against a government (King George) and a military when they declared that all AMERICANS are free.

These men declared that men are created equal, that God, Supreme Being, the Universal Creator, or whatever name you want to use, gave all men at least the unalienable Rights of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness, if not more.

They declared that men create governments and give power to government through consent and not the other way around.

They declared that when government begins to suck, infringing upon the aforementioned unalienable Rights, as the U.S. government does today, that as individuals working in concert, we are right to get rid of the U.S. government or any government over us, if we do not feel like alterning it.

Not only did they declare that we have such a right and are right to do so, but we are duty bound to throw off such Government.

They declared that after abolishing a tyrannical government like the current U.S. government, we can establish a new government based upon principles that promote safety and happiness -- a government free of socialist income taxation and redistribution, a government free of preachy, vice laws, a government free of aggression against the world.

They did not declare the United States of America free, but each British colony as a free and independent country. Thus, they declared free from King George -- Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina and Virginia -- and also each colony free from eachother.

One day, Americans might awaken to the war for their minds waged by politicians like McCain, Obama and all others who fail to see the truth of Independence Day and the War for each man's Indepedence.
