No, President Obama hasn’t run the economy so far into the ground that he’s advertising for roommates.

It’s his former dwelling that is for rent. The place he stayed when he was a junior at Columbia University.

The small two-bedroom apartment at 142 W. 109th St. is listed for $1,900 and is advertised as having hardwood floors, high ceilings and big windows.

Don’t ask the president to endorse it, though. He gave the apartment a bad review in his book ‘Dreams From My Father.’ He said he moved out because of the unit’s ‘lack of heat.’

Maybe that’s why Obama opted to sleep in the alley one night. Well, that report came from the guy who’s living there now. The current tenant told NBC News that the president couldn’t get in the door one night so he slept in the alley.
And seeing that this tenant has lived there for six months, that’s got to be true.

Another former resident of the presidential suite was interviewed by the New York Observer in February 2009. When informed that he was living in Obama’s old digs, he took it to Facebook.

‘I had sex in Obama’s old bedroom!’ the tenant announced.
