Meghan McCain exposes her cup size on Twitter -- maybe Republicans really are out of ideas

 

Meghan McCain, the daughter of former Republican presidential candidate John McCain, caused a stir on her Twitter page Wednesday night by showing a photo of her that can only be described as, well, titillating.

For her part, the 24-year-old McCain seemed surprised at the furor caused by the voluptuous tank-top display. Maybe she didn't get enough attention for her support of gay marriage. Anyway, when conservatives complained, she threatened to quit Twitter. Or, as she put it, "I'm getting the ...  off twitter."

"When I am alone in my apartment, I wear tank tops and sweat pants, " she explained. "I had no idea this makes me a 'slut.' I can't even tell you how hurt I am."

If she's hurt by the reaction, you can only imagine how her parents feel.

Later, she apologized.

But, as one commenter suggested, perhaps the would-be presidential daughter could "put a pink bow over this photo and call it a tribute to breast cancer awareness month."

I think Meagan McCain at least tells it as she sees it. She doesn't hide behind someone else. I think she has promise both as a beautiful young woman and possible even running for public office. All Republicans can't be like Rush Limpballs and his extreme views of the world. It takes guts and fire to just make this world a better place for everyone and sometimes that is hard for the extreme RIGHT and LEFT to understand. Maybe its time for us as hard working, law abiding, god fearing people to start a INDEPENDENT WING for real Americans. I truly believe its about to happen if we only listen to our hearts. WHAT IS BEST FOR MANKIND AND WHAT IS BEST FOR AMERICA was always something I could look for John McCain to back and now his daughter Meagan has the opportunity to really show some leadership and take those photos and laugh because all of us make funny pictures at times in our lives. She is sexy and intelligent so I know she will stay with Twitter and let them have their fun. Leadership is what its about so who says a woman can't be sexy and still be a leader of her party. Youth is needed in the Republican party we saw that during the last election so the question will be is the Republican party ready for youth or should the youth of the Republican party look at Independent as the calling?

What is the argument? She is an adult she is not seeking office as sunday school teacher. John McCain is her father but is she to live up to his standards or the conservative republicans. Have we forgotten about "PK" children (pastor kids) they go astray and then come to realize it is time wake up. I think we have all experienced this in our life time. As my wife would say I think you forgot what you did as a child or don't want to remember.

What I dislike the most about some republicans is they point fingers at others but can't see the beam in their own eyes, only when their sin is exposed than they are sorry.

First of all I have to say the obvious, if those are real (and I have no reason to doubt it), then that girl has something going on. Second, leave her alone! Look I have a 22 year old daughter, she is a really good girl, she just finished collage at the top of har very good school, she's going to graduate school, she calls home everyday, all the things a duaghter is supposed to do. But a 20 something year old woman who doesn't occasionally dress a bit sexy or play around at looking sexy (especially an unmarried 20 something woman) just isn't normal.

So she has boobs, and we got to see the top of them, that doesn't make her a slut. John McCain is extremely lucky that his daughter is willing to help him out, and the notion of a wealthy good looking 24 year old woman willing to play at being conservative is probably some pretty serious sacrafice for her. I actually doubt that John cares about this at all. He's lived in the real world long enough to know that real girls do occasionally want to play at being women.

I think that all the fuss over this (I choose to assume) innocently posted pic stems from the fact that she exists within the political sphere.

Politicians, of whatever stripe, are seldom seen in anything less than business-appropriate attire; seldom seen with a single hair out of place and, by extension, their family members are (rightly or wrongly) held to the same expectation.

So what the woman has cleavage.

a more accurate headline might be, "Maybe she's no more a Republican than her dad."

i realize that it suits the Time's agenda to propagate this sort of nonsense, but you should really work on the subtlety when you do. branding RINO's as the face of the party suits your goals, as does the deliberate mischaracterization of the regular citizens objecting to the so called health care reform or those who attend "tea parties", when you're not just flat out ignoring their existence, but you're not fooling anyone but yourselves.

by the way, what's up with your marketing department? i haven't had a call begging me to resubscribe to your paper in several weeks, and i could really use a good laugh.

PS: i fully expect to never see this post on the blog: the Times doesn't really believe in honest information exchange or debate, just the meme. that's one of the major reasons why you are failing.
