Sotomayor hearings: 'May I finish?'

One sentence before she concluded her introduction of Judge Sonia Sotomayor, New York’s junior Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand was interrupted by Sen. Patrick Leahy, who asked her to put the rest of her remarks in the record.

“May I finish?” asked Gillibrand.

Leahy looked miffed.

Gillibrand read her last sentence, which took approximately five seconds.
