Again with the Titanic metaphor in the House of Representatives

June 12, 2009 |  9:05 pm

What's the deal back there in Washington with this sudden eruption of Titanic references?

First, Minnesota's GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann talks on the House floor about the great metal metaphor for preening overconfidence and hubris and likens it to to President Obama's spending and debts and, who knows, maybe one-way voyages and a national sinking.

And now Democrat Rep. Paul Kanjorski of Pennsylvania likens the Bank of America merger to the Titanic.

By the time the centennial of the sinking for the movie rolls around, we'll all be so sick of the thing. Check out this brief video.
