Obama holds hostage captain hostage in Oval Office; No one wears ties
Oh, no, wait. Richard Phillips was the U.S. ship captain held hostage by Somali pirates trying to stimulate their own economy. And Phillips was rescued by Navy Seals. And Obama was happy.
And so today the president had the captain and his wife, Andrea, in for a White House visit before the president and Michelle attended the White House Correspondents Dinner at the Washington Hilton.
Obama's got a busy week of hosting set up. Monday he'll welcome the University of North Carolina men's basketball team to mark the NCAA championship of theirs that Obama accurately predicted.
Tuesday the first couple will host an evening "poetry jam" at home to celebrate the spoken word. Wednesday he goes to Arizona State in Tempe to deliver a commencement address but not get an honorary degree.
Thursday Obama's got a townhall set for Albuquerque.
And on Friday the president will have the Philadelphia Phillies in despite his allegiance to the White Sox in the real baseball league.
It'll be a good week for athletic jerseys with #1 and his name on it.

Mr. Obama withdrew the go orders to shoot to kill 2 or 3 times during the hostage crisis but finally gave the OK and thankfully the seals took the shot before he could withdraw the order again. I wonder if he apologized to the couple for his wavering which added more than a day to their suffering?

Pom Pom- In the real word you need sources to back up information. Please supply. Why would he apologize? For bringing back her husband alive. With this logic, you must be Bushie.
