Opinion: John McCain will pit his NCAA brackets against yours anytime, bucko

It’s called bracketology.

OK, college sports fans, someone mentioned there’s a few NCAA basketball games coming up here. And today is selection Sunday. this afternoon at 3 p.m. Pacific, when the selection committee of athletic directors and conference commissioners will announce the 34 at-large teams in the 65-team lineup. Plus the seedings.

Not that the former attack pilot likes a little competition. But for the third year in a row Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain has decided to take on all comers in predicting the games’ outcomes. But you need to sign up before the games start on Thursday. (And, odds are, this time he’s not picking Alaska.)

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said on Friday the Democratic president will take a little time away from salvaging the nation’s economy to draw up and release his own picks.

So you can have bipartisan guidance to design your own for the office pools.
