Obama reaffirms pro-choice support with abortion funds
President Obama stood firmly by his support for a woman's right to an abortion and today reversed a Bush administration ban on giving federal funds to international groups that perform, or provide information on, abortions.
Obama signed the "Mexico City policy" to little media fanfare this afternoon, as reported by the Associated Press.
This comes just a day after a crowd of anti-abortion activists convened on the National Mall for the anniversary of the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe vs. Wade.
In a statement Thursday, Obama said Roe vs. Wade "not only protects women's health and reproductive freedom, but stands for a broader principle: that government should not intrude on our most private family matters."

Has Barack Obama ever witnessed an abortion? Would he look on in approval during the carrying out of a partial birth abortion — the extermination of a "partially delivered living fetus". His reversal of the "Mexico City policy" indicates an affirmative response.
If the determination of when life begins ostensibly lies "above his pay grade" by his own admission, does it not behoove him to give the embryo the benefit of the doubt?
A black baby has its own heartbeat, fingerprints, brainwaves, blood type. Obama's clear, unequivocal stand for abortion stands out as contradictory with his focus on 'hope'.
What hope do unborn black babies have in his plan? How many black children will not ever get a chance to serve as president ... much less vote if they die by abortion?
Barack has signed his approval to the deaths of babies. God will hold him accountable for each and every innocent defenseless life lost.

I'm still wondering where Kmiec is on these matters. He gave a full-throated defense of Obama as a pro-life sheep in wolf's clothing and Obama has yet to reveal himself as such. Unlike many, I do understand that Catholic positions on social justice issues are not fully embraced by either the Republican or Democratic parties. Further, I can see justifications for an observant Catholic voting for either McCain or Obama. However, Kmiec spent a substantial part of last year trying to convince people of Obama's pro-life bona fides often contradicting himself and his stated views in the process. It just ain't so, Kmiec. Better to stop with the contortions and just admit that Obama isn't anywhere close to where you are on life issues, but you supported him for other reasons.

obama thinks "that government should not intrude on our most private family matters." then why is he trying to pass a health care bill that would put the government all up in our family matters???????????

Obama is the most fraudulent hustler ever to represent our eroding republic. Aside from his calloused and bloodthirsty, willful blindness with regard to the realities and horrors of abortion his claim that "government should not intrude on private family matters" is wholly contradictory to his policies like forced participation in government run health insurance.
The Obama administration and agencies like DYFUS in NJ are regularly separating families, forbidding religious teaching, and his administration has all but declared war on those families who choose to exercise their freedom of assembly and conscience by home schooling their children.
Finally, his complicity in fostering and promoting abortion including the "Mexico City Policy" which uses Federal tax payer money to fund foreign "population control" deliberately targets poverty stricken PEOPLE OF COLOR.
Obama is the global leader of race and economically targeted, state sponsored race control (genocide). These are facts folks and facts are stubborn things.
The "man" is the most dangerous, unconscionable and maniacal tyrant in waiting America has ever known.
Beware the man who calls the taking of the lives of 100% unique and 100% genetically complete, 100% sovereign, voiceless and choiceless members of the human family an act of freedom. Only an emissary of the devil could speak such a despicable and heartless falsehood.
Birth control is birth control. Abortion is genocide, not birth control. In this "information" age it is impossible to pretend that life does not begin at conception.
How many times can a man turn his head and pretend that he just doesn't see? How many deaths will it take 'til he knows that too many people have died?
