Do you think Edward Kennedy still loves the sea?

December 1, 2008 |  5:24 pm

The old man and the sea. And his son.

Normally, we see Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy in the Senate, speaking fire, or at the Democratic National Convention last summSenator Edward Kennedy of Massacusetts at a healthier time sailinger. Or, at other times this year, in an ambulance en route to a hospital.

The iconic liberal senator is suffering from a malignant brain tumor.

But while the nation's political spotlight is focused on Chicago and the ongoing formation of a new Democratic White House administration, our friends over at TMZ.com quietly caught the senator and his son Patrick on the dock in a brief video.

No words necessary to explain these few quiet moments between father and son near the end of a day down by the sea.
