Go home. No need to vote. Oprah's already got her Obama inaugural ball gown
Talk-show diva and business billionaire Oprah Winfrey shed her nonpartisanship this presidential election cycle and not only endorsed her man Barack Obama. She also actively campaigned for him in the primary, drawing huge crowds in Iowa (which he won), North Carolina (which he won) and New Hampshire (which he lost).
This despite a dip in her show's ratings among women who'd rather not get politics there or were disappointed that a woman who built her empire on women did not support the first serious woman candidate for president, Sen. Hillary Clinton.
But that's ancient history now. According to our pals over at TMZ, the female big O called into Chicago radio station Power 105 this morning and told host Ed Lover that she's so sure her guy is gonna win, she's already picked out her Obama inaugural gown.
So now you don't need to vote or even watch the results tonight. Just keep checking The Ticket in case something else earthshaking breaks.

I think that it is of the upmost importance, for the key states to get it right this time around, I believe that the world is watching, and any doubtful ballet counting this time, could be utterly disastrous for the integrity of America.

Andrew- Why would you say "go home. no need to vote"? This is completely unprofessional your part. Everyone needs to vote and every vote certainly matters. We cannot get complacent especially when we are so close to finish line. If you want to report on Oprah, that's fine. But please don't go as far as to tell people that their votes don't count. Exercise some journalistic integrity please.

I imagine that if Obama loses, it would make African Americans feel very disenfranchised. Because if even with Obama at the helm, representing that ethnicity, and a victory cannot be realized... then what else are African Americans supposed to feel besides how everyone in America is out to marginalize them.

Does it really have to be black or white?! Obama did not make it this far because he was black but because he made a difference.
