Lock and load: AP video says Americans buying up guns since Obama's victory

This was news to us.

According to this Associated Press video, there's been a big run on guns in the last couple of months and especially since the election of Barack Obama Tuesday.

The stated fear is that he will somehow go along with a large congressional Democratic majority on new firearms restrictions, despite the Illinois senator's professed campaign support for 2nd Amendment rights.

Watch this video. Then let us know what you think? Are you stocking up on weapons? Ammo? Do you know people who are? Do you think this is a legitimate threat?

I bought a new gun because the economy was tanking. With the economy goes security. Cops are having to make drastic cuts right now. If people are out of jobs and get hungry, what's to stop crime from going up? I bought a gun to protect my home and my things in this scary economy we're heading into.

Well, what an interesting story.

The backwards mindset that people in this country have leaves me awestruck. The same people who are stocking up on guns because they think that this big bad black man is going to come steal them, are the same people who think ChrisDod and Barney Frank are the only men to blame for the financial crisis. DO SOME RESEARCH PEOPLE, especially when the ideas you have lead you to believe that you will in someway need to use force against your own Govt. in order to keep your revolver.

Heres a FACT: under the Bush administration we have seen an unprecedented rollback in human civil rights including the suspension of habeaus courpus, use of torture, and an amendment to the Constitution so the Govt has the ability to use US military to counteract civilians right to assembly. And I won't even start about civilian wire tapping and that goddamn liberal media (who under Bush/Cheney isn't allowed to show US bodies coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan, Who knew about Sarah Palins' morning temper tantrums but failed to report it until after the straight talk express crashed off a cliff, And who have been censored tp the point where they had hand picked "experts" aka bush insiders fed to them to discourage the American people of having a single conscious thought about the wars and bush policy. What are you more afraid of... Bush and Cheney lynching Obama and his family during their monday meeting or Obama, after he gets us through the Bush recession and out of Iraq, coming to your door to demand you hand over you pistol. Think individually and do research before forming radical ideas.

Yes, this is a legitimate concern for Americans that do not live in California. Californians have already seen their gun rights gutted by legislators who only know about guns from what they see in the movies. Most non-Californians would be shocked at the morass of gun control we have here. I will be stunned and delighted if the Democrats can resist their urge to impose their beliefs on gun owners.

I guess people are getting ready for the "FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE" Big Brother Obama plans.

The time has come to pry your guns from your cold dead political party.
Psychos !

Let me try that paranoid mind set on for a min.... All the FBI has to do is collect the background checks in the period from Nov through January, and they should have a good list of potential Terrorists to keep an eye on....

LIBERALS SCREWED UP CALIFORNIA AND THE NORTHEAST AND ARE MARCHING SOUTH,AN ARMED CITIZENRY IS A FREE CITIZENRY,CANT YOU IGNORANT LIBERALS GET THAT THROUGH YOUR IGNORANT SKULLS?

People are buying guns because they know violence is coming. They'd rather kill each other than go to legal parasites. com and do something to save themselves. As people become more desperate, there will be more robberies, personal assaults, etc. They are NOT buying guns because of Obama, they're not spending THAT much money in a recession on something they don't NEED.
