Sarah Palin reportedly set for a turn on 'Saturday Night Live'

Speculation has been rampant that "Saturday Night Live" -- already a "must-see" in the political world because of Tina Fey's spot-on caricature of Sarah Palin -- soon will avail itself of the real thing.

According to one of the doyennes of the nation's corps of gossip columnists, Cindy Adams of the New York Post, it's a "done deal."

Adams writes that Palin -- who in her public comments has reacted good-naturedly to Fey's takeoff of her -- is "booked" and "confirmed" for an appearance on SNL's Oct. 25 show (a mere 10 days before the nation's big vote).

No word on whether the candidate and the comedienne will share the stage together. But one can imagine an inspired minuet between the two.

In light of the racism and violence promoting candidates that John McCain and Sarah Palin have presented themselves to be, I am shocked that SNL would consider for a second furthering their hate filled message by giving them a platform to spew their bile. SNL is noted for it's irreverence. This is beyond irreverent. The Republican party rallies are now advocating the murder of their opponent, Barak Obama. McCain and Palin are using deception to paint a picture of Barak Obama as a terrorist.

SNL, withdraw your offer to publicize either of these two sick individuals as being anything but dangerous and desperate.

We do not reward disgusting and dangerous activities in this country.

Please may the first comment be removed, it is awful to have to read this hysterical blackening of people.McCain and SP are not rascists or promoting violence. Neither am I.
Many people like myself are appalled about the savage bitchiness that SP is greeted with by media and many bloggers/ commentors. I personally was extremely anti the Iraq invasion before it happenen but I feel that we should retain a presence there to ensure stability in the region. This has cost the US in lives and money. US media supporte the war although C Powell and Hans Blick were not aware of WMD existing. The media has failed us again beacuse they are not investigating BO properly. If they had done him over like SP, the facts would be out. SPand many others could relax and SP could campaign for her own ticket insteasd of against BO. The little information we have on BO raises more questions than it answers. He took a long time to post up a birth certificate; it changed with different sized images appearing. On google reports say the image is a fake, BO was born in two different hospitals in Hawaii and in Kenya and he was a citizen of Indonesia who would necessarily have renounced his US citizenship. BO is clearly not as American as someone who has lived in US or on US force bases for all his life or someone with both parents born in US. His father and then stepfather were both muslim as was BO's schooling and his friendships. Is it right that any person from anywhere in the world with an extreme left wing ideology and associates should be President.? It is not BO's color, ethnicity but rather a lack of sufficiently strong American association, that turns me aginst him (in a P role). Questions unanswered orwith multiple answers cause people reason to be suspicious. What if BO is a part of the Muslim world which is for the harm of America, like Al Quaeda? Hamas support him even though he should by Muslim laws have a fatwa aginst him. His politics are Black liberation ones or is that his religion? Look at BO's pastor for 20 years, also with a muslim background. There are too manyworrying associates of BO to not feel concerned about him. Itwould be irrational to not have concerns about BO!

Wolves do not breed like dogs. A pack of wolves produces at maximum one small litter of pups a year. Only the alpha male and alpha female wolf breed. There is NO explosion of the wolf population.

The reason why they're shooting wolves from helicopters during a time when they have no means of cover is so the caribou population can explode and trophy hunters like Caribou Barbie can have an easier time bagging an animal.

This has absolutely nothing about supporting the Native population of Alaska.

I'm shocked SNL would advance the McCain agenda this way. SP, we know, will do anything to advance herself. Now SNL is doing the same: higher ratings means more advertising bucks. This society is rotting from the inside out, and the only hope we have is to survive with humor. I was casually reading these posts as I often do for a little comic relief, since so many Americans are so very uninformed, that their comments are quite funny (stupid, but funny). I especially enjoy the angry blather of the Liberal types. Then I came across your comments. Wow, an informed citizen! You obviously go to the trouble of educating yourself with sources other than the normal Main Steam Media dribble. If only everyone had the ability to do that! If he had a less questionable background and some relevant experience, he might be worth consideration for at least a Cabinet position, but not President. He is basically an empty suit. Most of what you read or hear from the media is slanted or down right false. To really be culturally significant, and not shills for one side, SNL has to lampoon both sides of the political debate.

I know the last time I looked, SNL was still broadcast on a station taking advantage of public airwaves, with the letters NBC -- not DNC, or 2008 Obama. Unless SNL wants to join a cable station supported solely by the contributions of the Democratic National Committee, they should be committed to parody of both sides equally. They have lampooned Obama too, so it does not seem like they are interested in only presenting one side.

I also think it will be a hoot! I can't wait to see Palin on SNL, and I think TF's parody of Palin is one of the funniest things I've seen in ages.
