Shocker! RNC alleges corruption in Chicago politics and Obama's part of it

If the Republican National Committee keeps on pumping out these kinds of hard-hitting political ads about Barack Obama's Chicago-style of politics and ties to the frequently-corrupt Cook County Democratic machine, it's not going to be able to count on the city's usual 18 or 19 Republican votes.

This ad goes up Friday in Wisconsin and Indiana.

I am just wondering,

With list of friends Obama had, I wonder he could get any clearance working for a defense contractor, how is he going to become the PRESIDENT?

When I had to apply for FBI clearance the question about association is a BIG deal. How can Obama pass this test?r

If being somewhere with Ayers makes you a terrorist, then the Walter Annenberg Foundation that the both volunteered for must be a terrorist organization, right? So their support for Republicans and McCain makes him friends with terrorists too, right?

And G. Gordon Liddy, McCain's friend? What would we call him? Someone who talked about shooting federal agents?

Alaska Independence Party? What do we call a secessionist group that Iran sponsored the founder of, who was killed in a failed attempt to purchase bomb equipment?

RNC alleges corruption? LOL!

When you point a finger, you have three more pointing back at ya, how about the $8M loan the RNC got from Wachovia while negotiating a buyout with Citigroup with the help of TAXPAYERS via the FDIC. Where do you think the money would have come from if Wells Fargo hadn't stepped in with a deal that doesn't need the FDIC help?

I am grateful to have many more sources for news via the Internet, because if I had to rely on the LA Times for my information regarding this economic crisis and upcoming presidential election, I would always unknowingly vote against my best interests due to lack of facts and skewed views of your coverage.

Frieda,

He'll pass because Ayers was never found guilty of
terrorist activity. KIds do stupid things, like join the wrong
political group such as Ayers did...

Obama worked with him on a civic project. That's it. Big deal.

I had friends from Rumania and classmates from Russia
who had to be investigated when I went for my
clearance years ago.

Andrew MalcolmAndrew Malcolm's immigrant parents repeatedly stressed the importance of active participation in a democracy. Early lessons included learning the alphabetical list of states by watching televised roll calls of national political conventions. That childhood exposure led to a lifelong fascination with politics, including 40-plus years of covering them and a brief stint practicing them as press secretary to Laura Bush in 1999-2000. A veteran foreign and national correspondent, Malcolm served on the Times Editorial Board and was a Pulitzer finalist in 2004. He is the author of 10 nonfiction books and father of four.
