New L.A. Times/Bloomberg poll focuses on Florida and Ohio

October 28, 2008 | 10:32 am

The 2000 presidential race, famously, came down to Florida. (See video below.)

The 2004 presidential race came down to Ohio (not quite so contentiously).

So with the 2008 election one week away, how are these two crucial states leaning?

Pollsters for The Times and Bloomberg News spent the last few days questioning voters in both states and, though The Ticket can't reveal their findings quite yet, the numbers show both states tilting in the same direction.

The results will appear on our home page about 2 p.m. Pacific.

Early voting has been underway in Florida and Ohio, and the poll checked in with some of those who already have cast ballots. In this case, a mixed picture emerges. (The video below covers early voting.)

I am a Latino Republican, and No I don't think that Barrack Obama is a terrorist! I do believe that his inexperience and leftist views will terrorize America!

Get a grip, America needs leftist views because the religious right is too busy trying to take other peoples' rights away.

I suggest you get a passport and visit other countries. In fact, that's the problem. Most Americans have never even ventured outside North America.

As for Florida, they need to get their act together, especially after the 2000 fiasco.

Here is a really intestering article from a conservative financial/wealth management company. Hanlon explains why the GOP canidate doesnt make sense to republicans anymore. His ideas are flat and no longer represent the vast majority of the county.

Republican Party 1854-2008 RIP.

We need the left to come back just to keep the crazies on the far-Right under control. The far-Right has ruined America enough. No more. I've had it with them.
