Ladies and gentlemen, the next U.S. vice president, John McCain

You gotta feel for the poor guy -- his big moment in the local sun now immortalized on video in a blog archive that his grandchildren will view.

In front of all those people at a Democratic rally for the Barack Obama-Joe Biden ticket Wednesday, he was supposed to introduce the senator from Delaware.

But, alas for his hopes of any kind of meaningful job in a new Obama administration, the wrong words came out. He could have a job somewhere in Congress; not much thinking going on there most of the time.

No doubt, this is pretty funny. But don't you think that McCain's comment today, when he referred to his fellow citizens as, "My fellow prisoners," is more worthy of a blog?

But to keep things light:

"Who Does McCain Remind you of? A New Game for Hard Times"

I am reading Obama's book and on page 100, he admits he like radical personalities!:

"To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist Professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets."

and then

He admitted he attended socialist conferences during his college years in his first book, "Dreams From My Father", page 122:

"Political discussions, the kind that at Occidental had once seemed so intense and purposeful, came to take on the flavor of the socialist conferences that I sometimes attended at Cooper Union or the African cultural fairs that took place in Harlem or Brooklyn during the summers-a few of the many diversions that New York had to offer, like going to a foreign film or ice-skating at the Rockefeller Center."

COULD YOU PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS IF HE IS STILL AGREES WITH THESE PERSONALITIES??

It becomes increasingly clear from the images in each evening’s news (as if it weren’t obvious from the outset) that Sarah Palin is a political whore hired and pimped out by McCain, et al. to perform lewd and gratuitous acts of rhetorical obscenity.

Gods save us from dotty old racists who are more interested in what Obama thought & said 30 years ago than what he thinks & says today.

Yea, so what.... the guy just had a lobotomy!

Well Obama did belong to "New Party" in 1996

Biden is a little forgetful when he says everyone here loves America. How about Mr. Wright, the preacher? (I can't bring myself to call him "reverend". How about all the others who had cursed the nation and its government? How about Timothy McVey who bombed a building killing numerous children? How about those who sell our security secrets to other governments?
Furthermore, people who make remarks like "Sarah Palin is a whore..." make me cringe for the society my grandchildren are living in. She is decent human being, a public servant, mother and wife who is trying to make this nation a better place to be.

There is no doubt that McClain is a war hero. But how does being a pilot of a one man airplane qualify one to be the President on the basis of being a leader in the service. What other duties did McLain have that could demonstrate his knowledge of military tactics and the accompanying political aspects?

Haha great video! The Republican party is getting ready to censor President Bush for being a socialist next month. Once President Bush and Vice President Cheney lose power the Republicans will turn on them like a pack of wolves. Plus all the books will soon follow since there is no more chance of reprisal. That reminds me, I need to update my news blog http://unitedstatesvicepresident.com . Keep up the great journalism, it is was keeps America strong.

Andrew MalcolmAndrew Malcolm's immigrant parents repeatedly stressed the importance of active participation in a democracy. Early lessons included learning the alphabetical list of states by watching televised roll calls of national political conventions. That childhood exposure led to a lifelong fascination with politics, including 40-plus years of covering them and a brief stint practicing them as press secretary to Laura Bush in 1999-2000. A veteran foreign and national correspondent, Malcolm served on the Times Editorial Board and was a Pulitzer finalist in 2004. He is the author of 10 nonfiction books and father of four.
