Sarah Palin names Dick Cheney's worst deed in office

October 2, 2008 |  5:20 pm

The final installment of the Katie Couric / Sarah Palin interviews airs tonight on the "CBS Evening News." Boy, we'll miss them when they're gone.

In tonight's segment, part of the network's "Vice Presidential Questions" series, Couric asked both Palin and Democratic vice presidential nominee, Sen. Joe Biden, to name the best thing and the worst thing Vice President Dick Cheney has done in office.

Palin's answer for Cheney's worst act as VP: “I guess that would have been the duck hunting accident."

Palin, of course, was refering to Cheney’s accidental shooting of a fellow hunter while on a quail hunting trip in 2006. It didn't take place in the vice president's office but on a Texas ranch.

I love people who pretend to know what Dick Cheney actually does in office. I don't know what his worst deeds are either since dick cheney is rarely seen or heard from.

I actually thinks she handles the question beautifully. Katie wanted her to say something demeaning toward Cheney since asking about someone's worst deed is not inviting flattering reviews.

She said the duck incident and left it at at. Leave it to everyone else to find fault for her not bashing Cheney.

I must say that she is a good reader of the cheat cards.
Most of her statements seem to have come after she studied the cheat cards. Senator Biden did not need notes to state positions or recall voting records.
But she was told to smile a lot- show a lot of teeth and that's what she did.
But cliches were all the order of her responses- she has no knowledge of what the vice president does- and she may- just maybe- have the finger on the nuclear button.
Scary-

Wow, I have never had any doubt who I plan to vote for in November, but now I am going down to volunteer at Obama/Biden headquarters. I don't want my state to be guilty of going for Palin/McCain, it seems like a crime.

Sarah scared the Obama camp tonight!!!!!
