Libertarian Bob Barr's campaign closeout sale

October 29, 2008 |  4:04 pm

The Bob Barr Libertarian campaign is having a closeout sale today.

You can still vote for him after today, the campaign wants you to understand. But you won't get any yard signs while they might do any good.

Yard sign for Libertarian Party presidential candidate Bob Barr

And they say they're running low on hats, T-shirt, etc. "Only a few boxes left," reports Shane Cory, deputy campaign manager. The store is here.

But after today, all the campaign literature and stuff will be used only in the Atlanta area, which is a long way to go for a brochure if you're not in Atlanta already.

The campaign website is here, where there's a selection of Barr-talking videos and a news release boasting that Barr is the only presidential candidate to hold a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

So if you're around Bob out on the campaign trail, don't tell him he doesn't have a chance come Tuesday. He might be packing.

It's not at all about winning at this point, Mr. Malcolm (if it ever was at all). It's about gathering enough votes to eliminate some of the ballot access hurdles nationwide. Less bureaucratic obstacles means more time and money to spend on the actual process of campaigning.

Some of my neighbors like Bob Barr (and Chuck Baldwin and Ron Paul). However, I have noticed a frustration with Barr campaign material. The good stuff has always been expensive or out-of-stock. One guy on the fence between Barr and Baldwin got some Baldwin material but could not afford a Barr car magnet sign and yard sign. The Barr campaign is irritating.

Even so, a Barr vote is a good vote.

Screw Bob Barr. Filthy neo-con poser.

Total black eye for LPUS. Poor Shane Corey will have a tougher time holing things together from here on in.

Barre was indeed a tragic mistake for LPUS. Now the Constitutionalists and GOP-hackers have moved to their right. They've lost touch with their objectivist roots. This will leave them with noplace to go but to increasingly move towards the center.

I had no problem getting Barr campaign material, in fact I have a couple extra bumper stickers that were sent to me in appreciation for sending a donation. Even though I actually voted for Chuck Baldwin because he is tougher on the NWO, I still like Barr and continue to promote him moreso than Baldwin since Bob Barr had a better campaign and ballot access.
