Tune in tonight: Live-blogging the first presidential debate

September 26, 2008 |  4:54 pm

The first of three televised debates between Barack Obama and John McCain is fast approaching. We will be live-blogging it, beginning at 8:30 p.m. EST, just like we did the Saddleback Forum and the ServiceNation Presidential Candidates Forum.

Can't hardly wait until then? Why not brush up on your presidential history and check out this fantastic footage from one of the first-ever televised debates? Here's a clip of Vice President Richard Nixon squaring off (sort of) against Massachusetts Sen. John F. Kennedy.

Television sure has come a long way in the past several decades. But is it just us, or do the politics sound strangely the same?

Senator Obama is no John Kennedy! Let's not fool ourselves! Obama is a Harvard man of lesser stuff!
