Sarah Palin may be in, but Hillary Clinton definitely out of anti-Ahmadinejad rally

Hillary Clinton has nixed the possibility of crossing paths with Sarah Palin, canceling her planned participation Monday at a rally protesting Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's visit to the U.N. after learning that the Republican vice presidential nominee also had been invited.

Palin's attendance "was news to us, and this was never billed to us as a partisan political event," Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines said. As he result, he added, his boss "will therefore not be attending."

The rally, organized by several American Jewish groups, is to take place outside the U.N.; Ahmadinejad will be in town for a meeting of the organization's General Assembly.

Palin has tentatively agreed to come, although her schedule has yet to be set in stone.

[UPDATE: Tracey Schmitt, a McCain spokeswoman, responded to the Clinton cancellation: "Gov. Palin believes the danger of a nuclear Iran is greater than party or politics. She hopes that all parties can rally together in opposition to this grave threat."]

Hillary is a wimp and is afraid of being underscored by Sarah.

With the way the Obama campaign and the media have treated Palin, I bet Hillary has alot of empathy with her.

Even though Clinton disagrees with 99% of Palin's issues, she stil thinks, "yeah, they're jerks to all us girls!"

Senator Clinton's withdrawal is petty politics writ large. She simply cannot share the spotlight.

She is smaller for this decision.

Very Much a Spoiled child that like things her way. She can't take a chance at having Palin suck the wind out of her glory.

Kudos to Governor Palin for standing up for America and against our enemies. Standing up to a tyrant like Amadinejad, and against Iran is a very important issue. Much more important than petty party politics. Originally, I was a supporter of hillary clinton, but now she and her supporters appear to be putting party, and personal ambition above country. It's pretty obvious that the best leaders for America are McCain/Palin !!!

Hillary: Please stand up with the woman of your cause! Go to the rally and shake hands with Sarah and against Iran! Show Iran we United States is united no matter what is going on within our political system. You still can change your mind! Otherwise, I am sorry - you will become a scumbag just like Obama.

What the hell is Palin doing at the UN. She has no clue how the UN works, has no clue on world affairs and had no clue on Iran. Her attendence would be more beneficial at the annaul cheerleader competition. Yes, you can put lipstick on this pig and its still a pig. All she is going to do is stand there and repeat what she has been repeating since her Induction to the Republican Party on August 29, 2008. An idiot is an idiot even if you parade that idiot on a world platform.

Sounds like it wasn't partisan until Hillary made it that way.

Pay attention Jewish and pro Israeli voters. Obama, when asked about this dust up offered "NO COMMENT"

I guess Israel now knows who its friends are. And the Arab community around Dearborn Michigan are suddenly more important to Obama because Michigan is a MUST WIN for Obama, and currently McCain is up by 1 point. And the Arab community may just be the deciding factor in the Michigan vote.

are you all crazy? Palin is no friend to jews, her take is "Jews have problems because they will not accept jesus as their savior " OR arent any of you reading??

Hillary is avoiding the situation because her AND palin there together is a VERY bad idea. Not cause she's wanting things her own way. It's because people will misconstru the intent and start using it against obama as clinton showing unity with McPalin. Good gosh people read.
Palin isn't good for jews shes not good for the us shes not good period.

Maybe Clinton realized she doesn't have to pander to this particular group of Zionists until the next election and decided she has something better to do. I wouldn't be seen on stage with Palin, would you?

I agree, that redneck Palin has no business being at the U.N.

This uncultured, never-been-out-of-North America until recently is an embarrassment to the U.S.

Go back to Alaska...you have a boatload of kids to raise, including a special-needs infant.

Whats Palin going to do there? Pray for the Jooos and try and convert them to the ways of her Church? Besides, I bet this right wing sacrificial lamb didn't even know who the Iranian President was until last week. Oh, and I bet the thuggish Iranian Prez. really gives a damn that Caribou Barbie is out there reading off a teleprompter. What a pathetic joke.

It really makes me sad to read such horrible & demeaning posts about anyone, male, female, black, white, republican or democrat. So much venom makes me wonder what's really behind these types of comments.

I find it amusing that those who claim palin has no business as vice presidential candidate visiting international events had no problem with obama, presidential candidate, making speaches to german audiences. Really, do you read what you write.
