Hoy, el senor Limbaugh speaks en espanol about Obama
A little different sound to Rush Limbaugh's show today.
Some of it will be in Spanish. Si. Espanol. Some of those 14 million listeners across the country may drive off the road, thinking they've somehow got the wrong station.
But El Rushbo is angry now, in a show-biz kind of way. He's totally steamed that the Barack Obama campaign took some of his remarks out of context and used them in a Spanish-language ad.
Awhile back on air, Rush went on (in English) about what he called Limbaugh Laws, a series of seemingly harsh restrictions that should be imposed on immigrants, including required work and language skills, no welfare and social benefits, required savings to immigrate, restrictions on what land they can buy, no demonstrations or foreign-flag waving, etc.
The kicker that day was that all these laws are already in place -- on immigrants into Mexico.
The Obama campaign lifted one line: "Shut your mouth or get out!"
So Rush will rebroadcast today exactly what he really said in Spanish. He's got a couple of others prepared too, lambasting the freshman Illinois senator for inflaming racial hatred and using a two-tier campaign approach -- "Chicago tactics behind the scenes, new politics imagery in front of the cameras."
That, too, en espanol.
The No. 1 talk radio show host had been taking his usually voluble but unusually relaxed attitude toward the current presidential campaign, given his longstanding antipathy toward John McCain's suspect conservative credentials.
But then the Arizona Republican senator picked conservative Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his VP running mate, and like many others Rush was smitten, politically speaking. The choice of the well-spoken, pro-life Palin caused the cigar-chewing broadcaster to turn to mush, as The Ticket chronicled.
And now Obama's ads have really engaged the Miami Mouth.
Democrats don't listen much to Limbaugh; it's not good for their blood pressure. And any Spanish speakers startled by today's bilingual diatribes are probably more likely to be Cuban emigres already voting Republican.
So the impact, if any, is likely to be invisible for the moment, a continued silent mobilization of the Republican base that, like Rush, wasn't much into this presidential race -- until recently.

Why does this picture of el Rusho look so funny. Do you need to hire someone to "photoshop" your pol images for you cause this is a pretty bad job. Glad you are reporting on what Rush has to say! Go LA TimEs! Finnaly some jouralism on the LEFT COAST!!!!

Always loved Rush Limbaugh! Don't always agree but love the man's honesty. I am proud he is standing up and setting the record straight on what was said and not let Obama and his camp away with yet another big lie! My question is - Is Obama a pathological liar?

Democrats don't listen to el limpo because he full of toxic hate, and lacks any sign of integrity.
The guy's just plain mean-spirited, and scary. Most people with compassion for his/her fellow man tend to avioid him like the plague he is.
Hate is harmful to our country, and hate radio is responsible for a lot of violence..........remember the movie, FISHERKING? Well, limpbo uses his show as a format for hate, BUT unlike the great character played by Jeff Bridges, LIMPBO REFUSES TO WAKE UP.

But what will ordinary listeners think when they hear the Rushbo in Spanish? Will he have sold out and akcnowledged that most of the American southwest really belongs to Mexico? Isn't it against the Christian faith to not speak English? After all the Bible was written in English.

It is pretty hard to see how anyone could pull Rush down into the mud. I thought he was above name calling. NOT!

Rush needs to take his pain pills.

I guess Rushbo believes his right to encourage racial hatred is being threatened.

The Mexican immigrants I know are too well-grounded in a working-class ethic to listen to a blowhard like Limbaugh.
Plus, they're mostly at work in the middle of the day and the last thing they need is a list of GOP talking points.
Fail...

great, most spanish speaking citizens already have listened to Rush radio cast and we're not offended
by this , however the ones that believe Obama's ad
shouldn't be voting. Yes, Obama is pandering to the
throngs of illegal voting Democrats. But, L.A, area has
and is still breeding these Democrats. Check your
voting registration rolls.

Most of the responders just don't get it. Rush's rebuttals are not to persuade hispanics to vote for McCain. They are to put the spotlight, Obama's willingness to do anything to get elected, lie and play the race card. Again they are not for hispanics, they're for the white, bible clinging, gun toting redneck, union working men and women in OH PA WV VA MO CO MI and maybe even a few hispanics in NM.

YOU THINK OBAMA is the Peaceful one? I'm sure glad I read my Bible and it warned of the fakes and those who follow them.

Obama is not Qualified for the Presidency, That is a Fact and if there's anyone spewing HATE its OBAMA.

Nice marketing tactic to broadcast what he said in Spanish. It's getting annoying how much stuff is taken out-of-context on both sides. It's a wonder that there are those that can't see through that on both sides.

I find it laughable that Obama thinks most Latinos are illegal, dumb and clueless. He's already in trouble with women and now is opening up another front by playing the race card with Spanish speaking legal and illegal immigrants.
