Hey, Hillary Clintonites! Forget Sarah. Joe Biden loves ya!

September 11, 2008 |  2:44 am

Sen. Joe Biden said something very interesting Wednesday afternoon. Of course, you never know, but it seemed impromptu.

And, OK, it doesn't really mean anything because the political die is cast. Sen. Hillary Clinton lost the Democratic primary campaign to Sen. Barack Obama. And that's that.

Alaska governor, Republican vice presidential nominee and self-proclaimed hockey mom Sarah Palin

And when it came time to choose a vice presidential running mate as his co-agent of change to really change Washington once and for all, the freshman Illinois senator picked... another male senator, Joe Biden, a voluble, aging white guy from a nowhere state who's held the same Senate seat in Washington since Obama was in the sixth grade.

Other than that, it's an exciting, fresh pick that says, "Let's clean house!"

Biden does know about foreign affairs, which is helpful if you've spent a lot of time being present in Springfield, Ill.

We'll never hear it in public, but some wonder whether Obama's Windy City crowd might now have second thoughts about not picking a certain female senator from Gotham for No. 2, given the wide-open door to ExcitementLand that the decision handed over to Republican John McCain.

The old guy, who was counted out a year ago, stepped up to the plate, swung his maverick ...

... bat and surprisingly hit the sweet spot with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, a 44-year-old working mom who likes fishing and hunting and tax cutting and surplus refunding and has the same kind of family challenges "as any of you."

Her pick ignited a national curiosity and a barrage of publicity, including the photo above playing off the "Miracle on Ice" movie on the 1980 Olympic gold medal-winning hockey team of underdogs. One newspaper cartoon showed Hurricane Gustav bearing down on New Orleans, Hurricane Ike near Cuba and Hurricane Sarah covering the heartland.

Maybe the apparent confessional moment by Biden in New Hampshire is a bank shot to somehow ingratiate the all-male Democrat ticket with some of the 18 million party members who picked the losing side in Clinton.

Remember, New Hampshire is where Clinton found her voice last winter and bounced back to beat Obama after an awful third-place finish in Iowa behind even the $400 haircut guy with the weirdly named girlfriend that he so adamantly didn't have at the time.

Polls out this week seem to indicate that a sizable chunk of female voters nationally, presumably including at least some Clintonites, have swung over to the McCain camp in the last three weeks, which is a scary thing for a front-runner because women voters are the majority now.

So maybe that's why Biden said what he said: "Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America."

It doesn't cost Biden anything. It's self-deprecating, might win him some votes. Of course, you don't see him offering to step aside from the No. 2 spot, either. But he also acknowledges that Clinton may have even been a better pick than him.

So for what it's worth, here's something special for any remaining Clinton lovers out there. Are there any of you left? Leave word below if there are and let us know how you feel about this video.

Here, with a huge Hat Tip to Susan over at WakeUpAmerica, is Sen. Biden speaking about Sen. Clinton's qualifications.

Go figure.

For consideration please...

1. I keep hearing "She will take away womens rights." To my knowledge, she is against abortion in most circumstances. But don't the polls show the MIOST women in America are against abortion? I fully appreciate the various arguments on this point, but the language used against her comes across as being 'authoritative'... as if, somehow you speak for 'all women', when I'm not sure that's correct. And if she believes that life begins at conception, what other platform would you have her take? One that compromises her own beliefs? It's an unpopular position among the vocal crowd. But she stands firm. Agree with her or not, she gets points for standing as firm on her beliefs as you do on yours. Or is it only respectable to stand on principles that match yours?

2. Obama enjoyed quite a media ride. If you go back 3 months, you could probably take articles and switch the names (Obama/Palin). The media is all about entertainment. And they seem to enjoy riding the wave (or frenzy?). I think it's a bit of a double-standard to bust the media this month when it was clear that Obama was in their graces for the last 6.

3. I agree with an earlier comment that suggested that having a R in the office and the D's running congress might be the best path. Wouldn't that FORCE them to change their ways and start working together. I LOVE the statement that McCain said about not caring who gets the credit. I believe it's true. And do you really think that McCain/Palin with bring overly extreme changes with a Dem congress? That's the whole checks/balances thing in perfect form.

4. Anyone who thinks that it will be 4 more years of the same has not done ANY research. There is NO WAY it will be 4 more years of Bush. McCain will work WITH congress to bring the change that WE THE PEOPLE are demanding.

It's time to bring civility to our civilization. And it starts with US. Right here. Right now. It's time to stop letting the extremists have the loudest voices.

PEACE.

This election is not about who is in it. Its about what is going to get accomplished by who is in. McCain is back peddling with this choice of his running mate. Overall McCain is using the usual Republican tactics to get in, War, Gays and Gun rights. They scare the average American redneck into thinking the gays are taking over and there will be no guns to fend them off.

Its a joke what they get a rise out of. Now every redneck in the nation is commenting about how hot Palin is. Who cares! She's not coming home with you. She is not of the intelligence level of Hillary no matter how much lipstick and school girl / teacher glasses you put on her.

The fact is we are 62 billion in debt. The only time our debt gets cleared up is when a democrat is in the house. I do not want to pay higher taxes, but guess what the democrats will get elected and have to do something to clear this debt. Thats taxes. Bush won't raise taxes because he doesn't care what he leaves to the country. History has shown people tire of the republicans and put in a democrat and it falls on their shoulder to clar it out.

We need to get arid of this two party system in this country and set up a real government that works for the people, not their own interests. Halliburton and the Bush OIl cartel should be tried and thrown in prison.

Sad that on this day of 9/11 we can only look back and still remember the falling bodies that Bush threw out the windows by his own efforts to seek revenge on the attempted assination of his father by Sadam Hussein.

Don't be distracted, folks!

Obama: Decent health care, reproductive freedom, a Supreme Court that supports democracy, a properly regulated financial system and a sane energy, environmental, and foreign policy, all conducted by competent leaders & rooted in reality.

McCain: More insanity, incompetence, pillaging, and destruction.

A Republican president & Democratic Congress? A perfect recipe for deadlock and thus more failure on every front.

Palin is a distraction, albeit a dangerous one, because she's both unqualified to step in and a radical, extreme right-winger - not a pig in lipstick but George Bush in lipstick & on steroids. The choice is Obama vs. McCain, Democrats vs. Republicans, the new sanity vs. the old insanity. Clintonites voting for a radical right-winger? A political operative's fantasy and MSM tabloid media BS.

Joe Biden was right. Hillary is assuredly more qualified than he is for the second chair. The problem is that she's also much more qualified than anyone else for the top spot. Compounded by the problem that she isn't on anyone's ticket, that leaves us to choose between the lesser of "two weasels."

As for Palin's vetting: What about Obama's? Is the MSM waiting for the National Enquirer to write about the federal lawsuit against Obama challenging his citizenship qualifications to be president?

Obama has been served and his answer is due September 20. The papers are on file for anyone to view on the federal court PACER system (and on several websites). This isn't a rumor, it's a reality.

Does the suit have merit? Well, we don't know and we won't know until the court determines that.

But the point is that the suit is a fact. It could have immense repercussions on the outcome of this election and, indeed, on the whole political process.

Why is the mainstream media so loathe to report that it has been filed? Maybe they think lipstick is more interesting.

So, if Palin gave in and allowed abortion for incest/rape, would you give in on the 99.9% of abortions that are totally based on 'convenience' and the result of using NO protection? Where does 'responsibility' fit into this?

I'm not trying to be disrespectful to anyone, but the argument is weak. We are talking about a VERY small minority of folks here. And there are several studies that show that women who have abortions after rape/incest have tremendous psychological problems later because they feel they've punished the wrong person.

Additionally, I would imagine that the 'date rape' numbers would go through the ceiling. Johnny and Suzie decide to do it in the back of the car and Suzie ends up pregnant. Uh-oh... now what? The only option is to claim date-rape and get an abortion. But who knows... maybe the fear of that would be enough to make Johnny think twice, eh?

No easy answers here. But it's a problem what can be solved by PREVENTING these unwanted pregnancies. That is something that we CAN agree on. Let's put (and KEEP) rapists in jail. You can sterilize them. You can even CASTRATE them. But I think the research shows that they are still a threat.

Let's find the right balance between teaching in sex education schools and providing parents the tools to discuss these topics at home (which is shown to be a MUCH stronger influence). The reason many parents are squeamish about sex education in schools is because they don't trust the 'slant' that teachers will put on it. Particularly after almost weekly stories about teachers and students having relationships.

We are a SMART country. Instead of fighting over our differences, why don't we leverage the common ground we share and spend our energies on more productive efforts.

PEACE.

Hillary for VP would have been the worst thing BO could have done. Too much political baggage. The MSM woulda eaten them alive. Since he didn't pick her, we don't see what the media would have done to them. And Hillary is too divisive. Many people love her but many more despise her (including me).

In addition, Obama would be looking over his shoulder 24/7 to see what she and Bill were doing.

I have not seen any footage of Hillary out campaining for him. And, she said she was not gonna attack SP. What's up with that? To me, that's another way of saying: "I'm not gonna campaign very hard for you, Obama, just a little, so you can lose."

I wouldn't trust Hillary as far as I could throw this country.

Ron Paul had the best ideas of them all. At least Sarah Palin thinks along the same lines of Ron Paul. That's why I'm holding my nose and voting for Palin/McCain.

Biden?? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ........

As a Clinton supporter, I repeatedly said I would not vote for Obama, But that has changed. Once McCain picked Palin as his running mate, I decided to vote for Obama.

There is no way I want that wack-a-doodle anywhere near the white house much less the next in line for the presidency. I hope other Clinton supporters do the same.

She is down-right scary.

Another style over substance election, Sarah Barracuda
is here and you people love her even though most of you
did'nt know who she was a month ago and still dont
really know anything about her now. Its all about personality and the presumtion of being one of the common folk that all it takes to swing American voters
thats all George W Bush did for eight years and we're
seeing the consequences. So watch Palin very carefully
keep your eyes on her because if you dare look away from that bright star from Alaska what you will see is your country falling off the world stage and with it your
childrens futures.

Palin's grasp of foreign policy:

1 - Might makes right.
2 - Onward Christian Soldiers............

Palin exploits her childern for political gain.

What is the problem with the Violence Against Women Act putting the women in the power position? Men have had it forever and don't like giving it up. Keep women in their place - powerless.

Obama has always been a flawed candidate. Now that the media has a new toy to play with in Palin and Obama is no longer getting a free pass on these flaws, they are beginning to creep out and be noticed. Surprise-suprise! He's human just like the rest of us!

It is disappointing to see the American public buying into the same old Rovian-style strategy of fear and smear. Apparently you CAN fool the majority of The People All the time!

Thankfully, not all voters are as superficial or have as short of memories as the people commenting to this story and so many other stories seem to. For such people, who obviously spend too much time glued to their television screens, campaign ads are the fount of their information. Do some real research and find out how the candidates stand on the issues! Do that, and then come back and say that you once truly supported Hillary Clinton but now feel that McCain, since he has Palin by his side, is fit to stand in Hillary's stead. No wonder this country is in the condition it's in!

It's so sad that the people of this country forget or don't know their own history...guess that speaks volumes for the lack of education being provided. Who created the safety net of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid? Who built the middle class from the bottom up? The Democrats. How do you think the corporations of this country made their millions? On the backs of the workers, of course! How did the women of this country get the right to vote? Liberals who worked hard to get it for them. Yes, Dems have made mistakes. The welfare system was badly handled, but an entire group of people had been disenfranchised for over 200 years and the welfare programs included poor whites, as well as other groups other than black. The money would have been better spent on creating small businesses and jobs in those communities, but we can't change the past. Neither party is perfect, but the Republicans care nothing for the poor or the middle class other than to use our tax dollars to make their corporate buddies richer. Prisons have been privatized, now they are privatizing the schools. They've privatized most of the government - their mantra is for profit can do it better than non-profit - I'm sure Halliburton and the rest agree every time the submit their inflated bills. Now they've moved to Dubai so they don't have to pay US taxes! They purchase insurance for their employees and we pay their profit percentage on that so they can line their pockets. KBR adds their logo to the towels our troops use and add our tax dollars to their profit machine. They charge the tax payers $100 a duffel to do the troops laundry and the come back with more sand in them than they had going in. Bush has lied us into a war and dismantled the Constitution and every day McCain/Palin spew more lies in an effort to get elected. Private companies have a place in government, but not to the point where they are running everything. If you want more liars and like watching our tax dollars go to enrich corporations, have at it. Government can work for you if you want it to, but they don't want government to work for the people, only the corporations. I am sick of being lied to, I want government to work for the people and for business, not just for business. The world of the 50's is over. It's time to move forward into the 21st Century. It's going to take money to fix the problems the Republicans have created. We're going to be in debt for several years, but unless we get to rebuilding this country, which will put our citizens back to work and help business, getting off oil (the last I checked the Looney was worth 1 1/2 more than the dollar), and do something about health care, our nation is going to rapidly decline. Greed and corruption brought down Rome and we are well on our way thanks to the Republicans who have controlled Congress for the last 20+ years. McCain opposed Webb's bill to provide education and other benefits, because the felt they were "too generous" - that's what I call "supporting the troops" - ha! What a hypocrite. McCain/Palin are not leaders, they are corporate puppets using the same old fear, God, and (false) patriotism tatics to play the American people like pawns on a chessboard. Is the majority in the country going to fall yet again for this BS? We'll find out in November, but for the love of God, I hope not.

On the "Womens Rights Issues"; why is it assumed that a woman is always better off when given the choice to murder a fetus? People in desperate situations don't always make the right choices and the aftereffects can be more devastating than an unwanted pregnancy.
Abortion can be the start of an inner hurt that never completely heals.
Sorry, that is a choice I won't vote for.

Joe Biden is quite good. I can not figure out why you are putting him down?? I am a woman. I was excited when Sarah Biden was chosen. Why? Because she is a woman. But my excitement quickly turned to disappointment.

I researched her views, positions, claims she made in her speech. As a woman I know I can not just vote for ticket she is on just because she is woman. Then Major Alarms went off!!

FACT - Shocked when I found she outright lied about many claims during her acceptance speech. And I had seen and verified same - John McCain lies alot. Little fibbing ok. Amount I verified on John McCain is numerous.

PALIN LIES: AM GIVING ONLY FEW EXAMPLES

(1)CLAIM SHE CLEANED UP POLITICAL CORRUPTION- NOT TRUE - FBI ONLY was investigating political corruption Alaska long before she took office. FBI STILL THERE. FBI doing Since 2004, first FBI raid Aug, 2006. Sarah Palin ran on "change theme" to be governor. Elected Nov, 2006. She did nothing to change, except hiring new people in administration which is usual for new governor. I see she actually just rode wave without doing anything. And thus receives high voter approval. Alaska government and Sarah Palin did not start, did not do any of investigation, and presently is not doing any of present investigation.. FBI doing all. PARTY AFFECTED AND CORRUPT - REPUBLICANS - 11 LEGISLATORS INDICTED + LOBBYISTS + OIL EXECUTIVES + OTHERS. NO DEMOCRATS INDICTED. I SEE MAJOR PROBLEMS!!
HOW AND WHY WOULD ANYONE SUPPORT A REPUBLICAN POLITICIAN FROM ALASKA WHERE REPUBICANS ARE SO CORRUPT. RESIDENTS DON'T EVEN PAY ATTENTION WHICH PARTY IS CORRUPT?? ALASKANS DON'T EVEN SEE FBI IS ONLY AGENCY DOING AND NOT SARAH PALIN OR HER GOVERNMENT. ALASKA GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN WALKING MORE LEGAL LINES SINCE FBI RIGHT THERE AND NOT LEAVING. Go google Alaska Political Corruption - go wikipedia- read the real facts. Go to Alaska and get history and facts.

(2) PALIN CLAIMS SHE SAID NO TO BRIDGE TO NOWHERE -FALSE FALSE FALSE - PROVEN FALSE BY FACT CHECK, NEWS MEDIA, ETC. MCCAIN PALIN CONTINUE USING LIE - Palin was for bridge all along and continued her stance. Only changed stance when Washington killed bill first, then and only then she quickly changed position, and killed at state level. AND BIGGEST FACT - Washington still gave money but labled under different cateory. GOVERNOR PALIN STILL TOOK MONEY AND USED! REAL BIG LIE!!! NAME CHANGED FOR MONEY IN WASHINGTON - MONEY STILL GOTTEN AND TAKEN - VOTERS NEED TO LODGE COMPLAINTS

(3)ENVIRONMENT -Palin is not for keeping environment clean at all. Against industry, corporate regulations to control toxic/chemical pollution drainage into salmon streams. This is asking for a health disaster among Alaska residents. PALIN INDEED IS GIVING OK TO MAKE HER PEOPLE ILL. Money appears more important than protecting people. Other positions of poor environmental views - thinks global warming doesn't exist - feels not man made and is not happening. Gosh just hit news a major ice berg just broke off up there. Polar Bears - Palin suing to get off exempt species list??? Federal government research and findings say opposite of her views and stances. Top biologist disagree with Palins views. Top biologist is non-political. Sarah Palin has been given "0" for environmental views, stances, actions. I am medical professional and absolutely say she is dangerous!!

(4)PALIN - ETHICS INVESTIGATION AS GOVERNOR. ONGOING NOW!! I HAVE READ COURT TRANSCRIPTS OF BITTER DIVORCE CASE OF HER SISTER. JUDGE WARNS PALIN FAMILY ABOUT PALIN FAMILY VENDETTA TO GET TROOPER WOOTEN FIRED. I HAVE READ AGENY/GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS(have all pdf files saved) - Palin family has continued the vendetta even after warning by judge - and this continued after she became governor. She took to Govenors office. Her administration did call to apply pressure. Trooper Wooten may be a danger. I see Palin did not do legally correct. If Wooten danger all could have been taken care of easily. No modern technology used to support of catch Wooten, evidence only "he said she said type". I see Sarah Palin lodged huge number of complaints against Trooper Wooten to Julia Grimes Alaska Public Safety. None substantiated in letter. Only three finally verified. NOW IT APPEARS HUGE COVER-UP IN PROGRESS. TWO SIDES NOW INVESTIGATING AND PAID FOR BY ALASKA??? JUDICIARY AND LEGISLALTIVE INVESTIGATION AND PRIVATE HIRED ATTORNEY FIRST, AND THEN PALIN'S HIRES OWN DEFENSE ATTORNEY FOR HER OWN PROTECTION AND HER ADMINISTRATION PROTECTION. HER ATTORNEY IS TAKING DEPOSITION??? HER ATTORNEY KEEPING ADMINISTRATION WITNESSES AWAY FROM JUDICIARY AND LEGISLATURE ATTORNEY THAT IS INVESTIGATING . PALIN SAID SHE WAS GOING TO BE OPEN. PALIN NOW NOT OPEN ABOUT INVESTIGATION. REPORTS OF 20 CALLS MADE ABOUT WOOTEN BY PALIN ADMINISTRATION. MC CAIN HAS TOP LAWYERS UP THERE TOO. I CAN SEE A TOTAL COVERUP DEVELOPING. ALL IS SAD IF WOOTEN A DANGER. FACT IS PALIN NEVER ADVISED FAMILY/HANDLED WITH LEGAL EXPERTISE AND PALIN WAS VERY INVOLVED IN WOOTEN ISSUE.

(5)WOMENS RIGHTS - ROE WADE WILL NOT BE SAVED- PALIN AGAINST PRO CHOICE. PALIN WANTS ABSTINENCE ONLY SEX EDUCATION. HER STANCE IS OUTDATED. STANCE IS LIKE GIVING A DEATH SENTENCE TO YOUNG PEOPLE. NO PROTECTION AGAINST AIDS, STD'S, ETC. P[EOPLE MUST BE EDUCATED. HOW CAN ANYOINE DENY EFFORTS TO PROTECT PEOPLE? PALIN WILL NOT FIGHT JOHN MCAIN FOR EQUAL PAY FOR WOMEN. MCCAIN DOES NOT SUPPORT EQUAL PAY. JOHN MCCAIN VOTED AGAINST VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN/MEN BILL. PUBLICLY STATED NO TO EQUAL PAY FOR WOMEN. RECORD IS SAME. JOHN MCCAIN HISTORY REVEALS MCCAIN AGAINST ALL WOMEN RIGHTS BILLS. REPUBLICANS DO NOT WANT! PALIN WILL NOT DO EITHER.

(6)CLAIMS BY PALIN - MAYOR SKILLS IN WASILLA ALASKA- problems as almost recalled for firing popular librarian. Large group of residents formed for recall and only backed off when Palin took her back. Librarian quit after 10-12 years right before Palin ran for second term. Librarian did come out and state Palin pressured her for book censorship and didn't like she supported Palin's opponenet when first elected. Palin id abandon book censorship as she found major political opposition. Librarian states Palin was out to get her and was personal vendetta. Palin personal grudge existed per Librarian. Librarian no longer lives in Wasilla and has nothing to fear from Palin nor a backlash. Came forward. Palin fiired police chief. Problems political outry from citizens as he tried to close bars at 2am instead of leaving open until 5am. There was large increase in crime and DUIs. Palin did not protect Police Chief. Stood with popular resident stance. Police chief fired as he was opponent anyway. He sued and only lost because his legal agreement with prior mayor he could only be fired for job performance not passed through city council. Problems when she got earmark for city and built sports complex on land city had not gotten legal title to before complex started. Present city attorney states major problem. Still in court. Lots more money being paid out and more to go out. When she left office city was 23 million in debt.City wWent from good financial status to debt. Palin was forced to hire a city administrator to handle city affairs. And is lots more!

(7)FIND SO MANY PEOPLE DISCARDED IF THEY OPPOSE HER OR DISAGREE WITH HER. SEE MUCH EVIDENCE SHE TAKES OPPOSITION PERSONAL AND SHE GETS RID OF PEOPLE FOR THIS. PALIN APPEARS SO NICE AND PERSONAL BUT HAVE SEEN SO MUCH EVIDENCE OF CARRYING PERSONAL GRUDGES. SEE EVIDENCE OF PEOPLE USED AND THEN DISCARDED WHENSHE WANTED. HER CAMPAIGN MANAGER TELLS NEWS REPORTERS "MANY DEAD BODIES LIE IN HER PATH" AS SHE GOES. THIS IS MAJOR PROBLEM FOR ME. AND THESE THINGS ARE NOT GOVERNMENT CLEANUP. TOO MANY EXAMPLES EXIST..

I can not support McCain or Sarah Palin. I totally see more of same. New switch from "EXPERIENCE THEME" to "CHANGE" by McCain now at end of Presidential Campaign is an insult to my intelligence. America is a disaster under Republican fur eight years! No more!

And I am white woman college educated registered Republican. I check candidates out, and do not vote for just race or gender or party.

My vote goes to Obama Biden. These two can get the change we need. Obama has always worked to help people. Obama is calm but a fighter. Biden is the experience to help go get support ot get change done. Biden has a great heart- real nice man! And he can fight!

And I will be changing my party affiliation. I am shocked at Repubican Karl Rove style. Rove is close to being indicted himself. Lots of 2004 Bush campaign executives now with McCain.

I like the way some old Hilary supporters praise Palin, say that they will vote for McCain/Palin and then ad that they are not voting for McCain just because Palin is a woman. And let me tell you there are quite a view of them walking around.

They don't know Palin any better than the next woman on a bus.
They don't know anything about Palin's stands on anything that actually matters.Hilary already told them, that she and McCain are nothing alike. She and Palin are nothing alike. So anyone who switches from Hilary to the McCain ticket is doing so out of spite. They never cared about the issues in the first place and they don't care about the issues now.

They don't even care what Hillary is asking them to do as democrats. They don't even listen to Hillary, that should be a sign.
They won't listen to what Obama has to offer. They don't know what McCain has to offer.Ask them about any issues they agree on with McCain, you can't get one straight answer. They keep talking about the straight talk express as if they ever heard it.They don't even know that the express only existed briefly and is ancient history.Luckily for McCain, you can't just paint an airplane that quickly, just like you can't sell an airplane on ebay like it was an old iphone.

They can't possibly say that they agree with McCain on the issues, otherwise they were Republicans from the get go, who decided to join Hillary's train just.. because she is a woman.

How sweet it is. Sara takes the day with plane spoken honesty, and the liberal twerps cry all day long. We "actual Americans" are totaly fed up with the Al Gore utopia crying.

I just cannot comprehend how any Hilary supporters can even imagine voting for McCain just because of Palin. This is a slap in the face to her since Palin does not support any of the issues that Clinton stands for. People these days are voting for candidates based their personality instead of their stance on the issues. Since when politics have been about personality.....I'm so frustrated with people voting for the wrong reasons. I actually like Governor Palin and I admire her for all her accomplishments. However, the issues that the Democrats are talking about are the ones that will benefit me. I am a Iraqi war veteran and I served 2 years of my life for my fellow Americans and I still don't know the real reason I sacrificed so much for. Mind you I was away from my young children during that time. I am not complaining about my commitment, however, it would be nice to know exactly what my sacrifice was for.

If you say that you are voting for McCain because you don't agree with Obama's tax plan (which is one of their major differences) I completely understand. But don't tell me that you are voting for him because he decided to entice you by picking a woman to run with him since Obama failed to do so. This whole race has become a soap opera filled with drama and nonsense. I cannot believe that people cannot see the strategy that the Republicans are pulling to get another 4 years in office to continue to favor themselves and no one else.

Eight years ago Bush was voted in because he acted like an urban cowboy, drove a pickup ,and men wanted to drink beer with him .Now over four thousand dead soldiers later, America is going to vote for a woman,
who MCain has put in a a bubble , (Look but don;t ask questions).
Why? bcause she's pretty likes to kill and eat moose.
So we are going to have a repeat of the last eight years, with one difference, when Bush came into office the country was not in bad shape.
Now it is a mess ,what can we expect to happen in the next four? MCain wants to see a mushroom cloud over Iran and Palin wants to increase the population.
So go ahead vote for MCain and the Hockey mom, because as I said she is pretty.

Turn out the lights, the part's over...

Did you listen to Craig Ferguson last night - he rightly, fervently and humorously pointed out that voters need to get back on the issues. Maybe it takes a new citizen to really value the responsibility and empowerment of his vote. The American people seem quick to accuse and abuse meanwhile forgetting to excersize their brain cells about who will be our president based on ISSUES!

Obama is not down for the count, that's just more Republican spin machine. (Our educational system is seriously lacking in developing critical thinking skills.) I think he has work to do, but so does McCain.

The sexist Democrats are no liberal at all. Just a bunch of fakes. Its still an old boys network at the DNC

I just cannot comprehend how any Hilary supporters can even imagine voting for McCain just because of Palin. This is a slap in the face to her since Palin does not support any of the issues that Clinton stands for. a little bible study for the studious assembly:

'the distinctive legionary symbol of the X legion, legio X fretensis, was a boar [yes, a MALE pig; there is NO historic evidence for its wearing LIPSTICK though].
it was this famed roman 'elite' unit of typically over 3,000 that after the destruction of qumran and massada, besieged and bombarded jerusalem in ad 70, and laid waste to the temple with ballistic missiles launched from the mount of olives. for the next 200 years, under legio decima's administration, and submitted to subsequent decimation and alien replacement of the population, the city was called aelia capitolina, devoted to the veneration of jupiter and venus.'

and nt biblical references to 'legion',
include the more well-known episode of a miracle by christ, related as a [partial?] exorcism performed on a man possessed by many demons - legion, by transferring those unclean spirits to a herd of about 2,000 pigs grazing nearby, causing those to drown themselves in the sea [we're not told where the demons went after that, nor what happened to the multitude of 1,000 unaccounted for].
however, we're told that though the man now seemed in his right mind alright, the people who came to see him were afraid; and the story then proceeds to tell us, how the man with the demons that would have preferred to be with the 'lord', is not allowed to stay but sent instead to proclaim throughout decapolis, how the 'lord' commander of the demons, had been so merciful to him.

(cf. matt 8:28; mark 5:1; luke 8:26)

I totally agree with AC Dallas, of the 4 canidates biden is being ruled out because hes not a woman, not black,or not a war hero.Biden is simply an ordinary man who wants nothing but the best for the american people and anyone who doesnt understand that is fooling themselves.Hillary supporters need to back him and obama nov. 4th. yeah sure biden is no hillary but he is still much more qualified than sarah palin to be vp and president.

obama/biden 08!!!! dont let McBush fool you!!!!!!

too many delusive planted propaganda posts here to refer to in detail;
RON PAUL's consistent constitutional message of small government, fiscal responsibility, sound money, peaceful foreign relations and trade without undeclared unjustified wars and military interventions ('peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none.' - jefferson), strong individuals with inalienable rights and freedoms that are respected and protected, strong local and state government, lawful immigration instead of unrestricted illegal immigration and amnesty or random intervention, competitive schools organized and funded on state and local levels... and personal integrity and accountability... could hardly be more different from the poliicies mccain and palin represent. you can NOT vote for mccain/palin if you like RON PAUL's ideas.
