A Sarah Palin tease: She talks about war with Russia
ABC News, in scoring the first extensive interview with Sarah Palin since she burst onto the national political scene less than two weeks ago, was looking at strong ratings under any circumstances.
The alert the network just issued teasing the first interview segment this evening, airing on its "World News" program, certainly isn't going to quench interest in what she has to say.
Here's the ABC bulletin -- EXCLUSIVE: GOV. SARAH PALIN WARNS WAR MAY BE NECESSARY IF RUSSIA INVADES ANOTHER COUNTRY.
Stay tuned, truly.
For more on how ABC is pumping the interview for all its worth, see the posting on The Times' Show Tracker blog by our colleague Matea Gold.

[Update: ABC has released a couple of clips, which can be watched here and here.]

Well... she's had 2 weeks to prepare. And I hear that ABC is keeping Gibson on a short leash for this one.
So, I imagine that Scrappy Doo is going to do fine in the interview.

The Republicans have gone stark raving mad!!!!!
The insanity which pervades their party must be reined in before it's too late. How many countries would Republicans have us declare war on? We need to get out of George Bush's war before any of their lunatic candidates chooses to send our young service men and women to die in any more countries.
Stick to lipstick on animals lady, you have no freaking idea what you are talking about.

I just viewed parts of the Sarah Palin interview with
Charle Gibson. Will she ever explain her position?

despite the relief that putin and medwedew are of course well informed about this punch-and-judy show, and would not take seriously the swaggering and provocative school yard bully talk reminiscent of that previously delivered by mccain, there's still reason for concern -
should these people immature enough to play with this for votes, ever get anywhere near that famous 'red button.'

So ABC cherry picks and posts something Palin says out of context. Shocking, truly. Keep feeding the Lefties, the freakout continues....
That's like Obama saying we will invade Pakistan. Get a freaken grip people.

Have Republicans lost their minds? That's funny. They just chose a governor who is a woman to be a vp. Why so angry? If you don't think Palin is qualified you can't possibly think Obama is. I think they both are. He, a freshman Senator with little experience that relates to executive decisions, and she, a sitting governor and former mayor, who has had relatively few years as a sitting mayor. They are both bright, capable people. Don't let your partisanship blind you to that fact. As soon as the people on the left start making this about her identity, her dialect, her mannerisms, her small-town attributes, they implicate their own candidate on his identity. Is that really a relevant focus? Do you really want to make this about identity politics? You adherents to the Left claim to want to move past that. In truth, you want to have it both ways. Play the victim while simultaneously victimizing. People see through that and that's why Obama has slipped in the polls. I think he's a qualified candidate. I just don't like his policies. Talk issues or face the inevitability of losing your argument and your candidate.

Is Palin Crazy??? Is this woman just plain crazy?? We are the United States of America, not some outback, gun-toting, rogue nation. We're big, but a war with any other super-power would be devastating -- DEVASTATING! That's not a coffee table conversation item, it's war talk. Is Palin out of her mind?

Scary Sarah must be kept out of the White House for the sake of future generations and the entire world. What can McCain be thinking to have brought t this war crazy extremist on to his ticket?

Obama and Biden support NATO membership for Georgia and Ukraine. So do McCain and Palin. NATO membership requires members to defend each other. Therefore if Palin supports "war with Russia" so do Obama and Biden. Why the feined ignorance on such a simple issue on the part of the Main St. Media and its masters at the DNC? Huh?

She can't even answer a simple yes or no question! Instead she continues to blurt out "a blizzard of words" made up of "Islamic extremism" and "terrorists" and "Russia", so on and so forth. She does NOT know what to say/do unless she has already been given an answer by the McCain campaign.
We've had, what... 13 months to dissect Obama. We have less than 2 months to dissect Palin and the McCain campaign is hiding her from the press! Before I vote for a President and Vice President, I want to hear BOTH answer questions off-the-cuff. This is a HUGE indicator of what Palin's decision making is like.

Someone should remind this Failed Miss Alaska, that unlike Iraq, Russia has weapons of Mass Destruction.
Is she willing to risk 100 million Russian and American Live of a country that 10 years ago was guilty of ethnic cleansing of Ossetians. This typical knee jerk Republican
response, tells me she is truly a clueless women.
Tokenism at its worse.

If Admiral of the Navy George Dewey predicted that the US went to War with Germany, then Sarah Palain, reincarnation of George Dewey predicts a war with Russia, when will it happen? Only God/Goddess knows, but what I do however know is that Russia is playing with both sides of the game and they need to be caught when the time is right.
Russia is playing with us but their is no proof, at least not as of yet, remember thy words.
