VP updates: Kansas printer does Bayh stickers but a private jet arrives near Joe Biden's home from Chicago

(UPDATE: Updated information is published below concerning a private jet flying from Chicago's Midway Airport to a county field near the home of Sen. Joe Biden.)

TV camera crews are parked outside of possible Barack Obama vice presidential nominees' houses all over the country.

But could a bumper sticker be the real tipoff?

Michael Mahoney, the political reporter for Kansas City TV station KMBC, is reporting that a printing plant in Lenexa, Kan., is today hastily churning out hundreds of thousands of bumper stickers with the names Obama and -- wait for it -- Bayh '08.

So two senators from next-door states -- Barack Obama of Illinois and Evan Bayh of Indiana, former governor and son of former Democratic presidential candidate.

It could be speculative, of course. And campaigns have been known to feint. But Kansas isn't so far from Denver, you know. And Obama has said that geography would not be the major factor it has been sometimes before. Remember Bill Clinton of Arkansas picked Al Gore from next-door Tennessee.

The printing plant is not saying anything. But this is just a heads-up before you get the Tweet or text message tonight. It could be an O-B ticket.

One other tidbit: Sen. Hillary Clinton has released her schedule for upcoming days and it does not show her traveling with Obama, unlike what usually happens with newly-minted running mates. But that's just a paper schedule.

(UPDATE: NBC News is reporting that both Bayh and Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine have been told they are not the running mates.

Meanwhile, other info filtering into The Ticket at this hour, a private chartered jet belonging to Netjets Aviation took off from Chicago's Midway Airport, on that city's South Side, this afternoon and landed not long ago at New Castle County Airport near Sen. Joe Biden's home.

(Could be connected. Could not be connected.

(Obama and his new running mate are due to appear jointly Saturday at an event in Springfield, about 200 miles southwest of the Windy City.)

bayh is a prominent proponent of the initiative to practically further undermine the american republic and disempower the people under the mendacious pretext of wanting to empower them. this plan is to have the president elected by national popular vote.

united states constitution, article II section 1, paragraph 2 states that 'each state shall appoint, in such manner as the legislature thereof may direct, a number of electors, equal to the whole number of senators and representatives to which the state may be entitled in the congress…' bayh authored the original fisa act, voted in favor of warrantless wiretaps on fisa amendments act, even supporting telecom immunity. bayh sponsored the iraq war resolution, and as did mccain, also did his fair share beating the war drum against iran. there is more, but this might be sufficient to show that his loyalties are not with the american republic, and his interests are not those of the american people. but then, this might recommend him to both mccain and obama.
if the people want to regain control over their affairs, their government, their country and their future, this means they will have to act responsibly, vote to see their own interests represented, and insist on truth and accountability. it would be self-destructive to vote into office, of president or vice-president, anyone who is trying to sabotage, corrode and dynamite, the bridge that still connects america to freedom, prosperity and peace - that is the provisions and the spirit, of the constitution.

An OP (Obama/Powell) button makes much more sense to me. Powell is a honorable man who has served his country diligently for many years. He is very well regarded throughout the world as a And he has a score to settle with Bush, Cheney and the neocons who set him up for the UN fiasco. His was the only voice of restraint and reason leading up to the Iraqi war. "Powell earned his nickname, "the reluctant warrior". He rarely advocated military intervention as the first solution to an international dispute, and instead usually prescribed diplomacy and containment" .Few Americans realize this. Obama is one who does. The rest of the world would regain some of the respect to the US that was lost due to this ill conceived war. Obama/Powell is absolutely perfect.

the choice of biden might also be seen to provide obama's camp with its own share of plagiarism issues (biden's loss of the nomination has been attributed to his theft of a speech authored by neil kinnock of britain's labor party; subsequently numerous additional instances of unauthorized appropriations, some dating back to his law school time, were uncovered). so who will now care if either camp resorts to complete intellectual dishonesty, when both are equally corrupt in this respect also? it is remarkable how these elections represent, the consistent quest for the lowest common denominator.
