Dick Cheney heading to St. Paul after all

August 8, 2008 |  9:09 am

Well, it looks like the Republican National Convention will have a slot for Dick Cheney, according to our cousins at The Swamp. Exactly when has yet to be settled, but Cheney will do his bit to rally the delegates.Dick_cheney_to_appear_at_the_republ

As The Swamp points out, Cheney's approval rating is at a stunning 18% -- subprime mortgage lenders might even rank higher than that. But those 18% are primarily the core conservatives in the party, and if the GOP hopes to hang on to the White House in November, it will need all 18%.

And their money.

But given that 82% of the nation deemed Cheney unpopular, don't be surprised if he gets one of those invisible speaking slots similar to, say, the men's trampoline qualifying heats at the Olympics.

In the photo, Cheney looks like he's fighting some chest pain.

Shouldn't he be in jail by now instead of on the national stage? Maybe some clever prosecutor could get him under the RICO act ?

They give clowns like this a slot and not Ron Paul, who is the nation's leading traditional Conservative and Champion of the Constitution?

Shame on you GOP, you have lost your way AND the American way. You need to get back to your roots like the vast majority of freedom-loving REAL Republicans want. Should you have listened to the very wise Congressman Paul, the GOP could have grown with support from disenfranchised Democrats, apathetic Repub's, Independents, Greens and Lib's. Instead you marginalize and disrespect the one great man fighting for our Constitutional rights. Shame on you GOP, you have lost your way AND the American way.

I and many, many more like me will be fighting for Ron Paul's Delegates, Campaign for Liberty and making real and positive change throughout the political hierarchy.

You should have listened to the Constitution!
You should have listened to Ron Paul!

the people of america who care about their country and their freedom, are free to decide which way to go, and whether to support the criminal and treasonous machinations of the present establishment in both the republican and the democratic party, in their joint efforts to illegally hoist into office either of two illegal candidates, and would-be presidential puppets, in a putsch-like operation only thinly veiled as 'democratic' elections; or to look to the legitimate presidential candidate with the viable solutions to america's crisis. the REAL gop convention, the 'rally for the republic' with the legitimate constitutional republican candidate for president, RON PAUL will be right next door, at the target center, minneapolis. many freedom loving people will make sure to be there and support the campaign for liberty.
