Barack Obama's birth certificate revealed here

First, last fall, there were all kinds of people, a number of them Ron Paul supporters, dashing from Internet site to Internet site suggesting that John McCain could not serve as president of the United States.

That was because he was born outside the United States and, therefore, not native-born, as presidents must be constitutionally.

McCain was, in fact, born in a U.S. military hospital in the Panama Canal Zone, where his father was serving in the Navy. That was, in fact, American-controlled territory at the time.

More importantly, his parents were both American citizens, so he could have been born on Mars and still been an American at birth. And a sense of the Senate resolution took care of any lingering doubts.

Now come the rumors about Barack Obama's birthplace, that he was really born in his father's native Kenya, so like Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was born in Austria, he can't become a U.S. president.

Same rule would apply as for McCain. Obama's mother was an American. So is her son.

The Obama campaign has provided at The Ticket's request what it says is a copy of the Illinois senator's official birth certificate, reproduced here, showing he was born in Hawaii on Aug. 4, 1961, at 7:24 p.m., which means he was late for dinner, just like a politician. Now, about the citizenship of all those people planting these rumors.

Just to put some facts in there, nobody said McCain wasn't American. The question is if born on American occupied land equals "natural born" because it is not written in any current law, and a non-binding Senate resolution has no legal bearing on that.

Hawaii says Obama was born there. These kooks have to take it up any conspiracy with them not Obama.

All of this talk abut the framers of the constitution should remind everyone that non of the first 10 presidents were "natural Born Citizens" of the United States. They were all British citizens because The United States did not exist.

I can't believe people are saying the font on the birth certificate makes it fake. In most states, if you request a copy of your birth certificate you will not get a copy of the original, you will receive a brand new modern reproduction of the original.

As a professional genealogist I am fascinated by the ongoing discussion of the veracity of the birth "certificate" of Sentor Obama. A certificate is only a "certified copy" of the civil record of birth registered in the county, town or city of birth. The original record is that held by the registering authority from which copies can be issued upon request.

What people refer to as the "original certificate of birth" is the first one, usually issued to the parents. All subsequent certificates as also valid as they are copied from the original record in the jurisdiction where it was registered.

People have spent a lot of time examining one of these subsequent copies. Many civil registrars have updated their issuing process by moving to computerized versions of the records. We see this is various jurisdictions around the world. If the Senator needed a birth certificate for a new passport, he'd be issued one of these new format certificates.

Finally, can it be stated that Hawaii is the 50th state of the United States? Anyone born there after 1959 is a U.S. citizen.

Whenever one requesst a copy of his/her birth certificate, the government sends out a certified true copy of the original, like the one that Obama has presented here. I lived in Germany for seven years. Before left for Deutschland, I needed a copy of my birth certificate from Louisiana when I applied for my passport. I receive a copy just like the one Obama has here, . If we get a president who will cut the taxes for 95% of the middleclass workers in America, maybe some of you idiots can afford to travel abroad, then you'll have to apply for copy of your original birth certificate if you do not already have one, and you will see that yours too will look like the one Obama has presented here. Why has the Governor of Hawaii put his birth certificate under special seal? Why has the Kenya government sealed all records related to Obama until after the election?

I do doubt that his "race" was defined as African back then. We should look at other African American citizens of the time, and I bet you their race was not defined as "African".

The point is Obama is a consummate liar, and this extends into his race as well. His dad was actually heavy on Arab side. Unless you think all black people look the same somehow, you can see the Iranian similarities.

It is amazing the drama we play into. Simply get out your own birth certificate and examine the difference we all will have with state issued documents. I just pulled out my original birth certificate and a copy that looks vastly different, and I know they are real.

First of all, the original copy does not have any official state seal on it. It has a generic seal that was created by the hospital. Quite fancy I would say because there is an actual picture of the hospital on it. Certain parts are CAPed and others are not.

The second copy printed six years later, too, does not have an official seal. The font is inconsistent with being in all caps. It does not state anything about the race of the parents.

My sons certificate of birth, completely different, because it was issued in a different state, does have all CAPS. Has a state seal, similar to the one that appears on the document Obama presented. It does not list anything about race.

So Im sure if you broke out your birth certi's, you would find an array of differences from state to state and you would conclude that this debate is a waste of time.
Get out and volunteer to make change in someone's life who may need a helping hand and stop trying to satisfy your ego.

Are you seriously saying that they made a forgery, and then stamped the date that they forged it on the back?

Can you brush your own teeth? This is an official copy, from the Office of Vital Records in Hawaii, that Obama requested because he lost his... I did the same thing, as did many other Americans.... we use it to get passports and anything else, because it is legal proof of our citizenship. The date is the date that the copy was issued from the Office of Vital Statistics.

Like many people, I lost my original birth certificate. I contacted my birth state for a replacement for a passport application. It looks exactly like the one posted in the story. I was born in 1968. Reprints of birth certificates must be printed with modern equipment as that it what we have avaialble today.

I do not have my original certificate of birth; our family moved a lot and is dispersed, some items including personal documents were lost or destroyed. I have a short birth certificate and it looks nothing like the original one. It was produced by computer in the 1990s and I was born in the 1950s. Guess you'd call me a fake also. Easy to do if you are born, live, die in the same house and everything you own stays in the same place, never going anywhere, rusting and collecting dust. Someone might have already stated this, but I thought that it should be noted that just because an individual is born to American parents, even if both are American, does not mean that they can run for President of the United States. The candidate would have to be born on US soil, in the United States, a US territory, a US military base, or an American embasy.

If Barack was born in the United States, then why has he not clearly addressed it and produced a legal, origional copy of his birth certificate? If he was born anywhere in the United States, other than a home birth, there would most likely be a paper record filed from the hospital. Although, if Barack was not actually born in the USA he may try to play it down, make a very costly trip to visit his mom in the same area where he was supposedly born (without his family with him), and have someone post a "too perfect" version of a birth certificate on the web.

If we the people are to elect our next president, should we not first be completely confident that he/she meets the minimum requirements? If the president elect won't swear on the Bible to tell the truth, or even put his hand over his heart to show respect to the nation he desires to serve as president, can we honestly trust him?

Barack Obama is counting on Americans not knowing or caring about the details of the US constitution. US presidents are required to be not only US citizens but, natural born in order to become president of the United states. Our fore fathers put that protection in to reduce the chance that we would get a leader that wasn't completely loyal to the US people.

John McCain was born at the Coco Solo U.S. military base in the Panama Canal Zone to U.S. parents. McCain is "natural born" by definition by virtue of his parents both being US citizens and being born on in the Canal Zone after 1904. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural-born_citizen

Barack Hussein Obama only has one parent that was a US citizen. Obama's father was an Arab from Kenya. Thus, Barack Hussein Obama needs to prove that he was born ON US soil to meet the constitutional criteria for being the president of the United States. The copy of the birth certificate that he provided only indicates that Hawaii has record that he was born. As far as I know the location of his birth is unknown / unproven.

Uneducated sleuths seem to think recognizing the Helvetica font and their own birth certificate make them an expert on this subject. Meanwhile, the Dept of Health oversees birth records in the State of Hawaii, so this official copy is the original document issued today. The archived data has obviously been stored electronically. Sure it's laser printed folks... the form itself is dated 11/01 and marked "laser" at the bottom, which only demonstrates Hawaii has laser printed official birth records for at least 7 years. You're all using computers to post your opinions, yet do you still believe there is a vault in every town in every city in the U.S. holding copies of every document ever issued? Guess the point is obviously moot to ask what you'd expect if you tried to obtain an official copy of your parents' or grandparents' high school diplomas.

As for the definition of "natural born citizen", just Google it. That's the least you could do if you failed your fourth grade history class.

I think that they do keep microfiche or scanned, or original archives on file. It is the state and they use your money. They are not in the habit of throwing out paperwork unless it benefits them not to have files on record. If it does, like births into the socialist states of america, you can bet they have the originals somewhere.

I would think the pres, or any high office would have more strict guidelines regarding what is, or isn't your original birth record. Now days, anyone can pay off any number of people and get one of these printed... it does happen.

Both my children were born in Hawaii and both original birth certificates have an embossed seal at the bottom. I've made several copies of these documents and the embossing clearly shows up. I don't see any embossing on the scanned copy of Mr. Obama's certificate which leads me to the conclusion that it could possibly be a fake.

Keep this in mind: Obama has used issues like this to cover his Kenyan birth, AND his socialist background. The court just ruled that a mere citizen has no "standing" to sue for proof of citizenship. I cannot understand how Obama kept his Kenyan campaign under the radar. He has a cousin there, Raila Odenga, that is also part of the Luo tribe. There's a video buried under either Odenga or Odinga, that shows Obama campaigning with Odenga under the banner the same "change" slogan. The Luo tribe are occultic and when Odenga lost, the resulting genocide killed over 1500 people until about 4 days ago when they appointed Odenga prime minister to stop the killings. But, still, Raila Odenga is communist-trained in E. Germany, a socialist, now terrorist, and that info has sat untouched all this time.
