Barack Obama takes umbrage to video targeting his wife

Barack Obama said in an interview aired today that Republicans should leave his wife, Michelle Obama, alone and confine their criticism to him and his policies.

"If they think they're going to try to make Michelle an issue in this campaign, they should be careful," he said on ABC's "Good Morning America." "Because that I find unacceptable."

Obama was talking about a web video produced by the Tennessee Republican Party last week that featured a controversial remark she made in February.

The Swamp's Christi Parsons has more on Obama's comments here.

Obama is about to be indicted for his role in the Rezko/Auchi/General Mediterannean/Syrian mafia criminal enterprise (you know--pay to play). Did you see those 65,000 people who showed up to see Barry in Oregon? That's 65,000 cheap hoods. Just read Evelyn Pringle's series at opednews.com:

Obama- an Antichrist We Can Believe In

Consider his sexual rockstar status among young voters, his ability to continuously lie without impunity, his connections to mob members and terrorist both real and wannabes. His strong and unscrupulous desire for raw power, at any cost, regardless what it does to others, (he became senator simply by disqualifying his opponents). His empty words and changing promises, his desire to be friends with those who wish to destroy us. His wife Michele has expressed her hatred for this country and has publicly announced her husband as the messiah.

The voodoo of this all is that Teflon Obama remains unscathed by all his nefarious connections and thug like history. He is worshiped not only blindly by the mindless masses, but by the fearful media.

I am not very religious, but I think Nostradamus got it right again. What is God going to think of all the lemmings that follow a man of darkness?

"The voodoo of this all is that Teflon Obama remains unscathed by all his nefarious connections and thug like history."

And that makes him different from any other major party nominee... how?

to john ryskamp. 65000 cheap hoods? im from oregon and i take offense at that. you are obviously not someone america should be proud of. I hope you can take your hate rhetoric down a notch. We need more objectivity and understanding in this country. Not more divisiveness.

to sarah alton. man to both you guys. chill off the hate. you guys are grossly misrepresenting someone you obviously don't know.

Sarah...are you on drugs?

Sarah,

Do you live in a cabin in the remote woods of Northern Michigan and create homemade incendiary devices as a hobby?

You completely freak me out.

Regardless of whether you like Barack Obama, I do not think that it is befitting of our democratic system to sling accusations like "man of darkness" and "anti-christ" at any of the nominees. If you are not going to support or vote for him, do so for educated reasons like disagreement with his social policies or his plan to bolster the US economy.

By the way, your militia membership card is in the mail...

I think the republicans should tell the voters the views of Michell Obama, the voters need to know her. Remember, from the begining of this election campaign, Barack Obama has said negative things about Bill Clinton, even using the word racist. What is Obama thinking, are the Obama's really above all scrunity? They and the media would have you think that. If Michelle Obama wants to be FIRST LADY, she and Barack Obama should lead the american people in showing patriotism and respect, both visual and verbal fot this country.

The attacks on Michelle Obama are personal. and twisted to fit political ends. Cindy's tax returns are not personal.

Cindy McCain has a great deal of personal baggage so it's best for all if the wives are left out of it. It won't happen, I know, but I'd be worried if I were John McCain.

About to be indicted? The case is basically over. If he'd done anything illegal, they'd have indicted him at the START (not the end) of the proceedings. Any decent prosecutor could get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich if they wanted to. (And you actually do sue the property in certain cases, so yes, in theory that could be literal.)

Anyhow, what's all this "messiah" talk? Most of us Obama supporters say Jesus in the Messiah. Obama is just a politician who dares to tell the truth occasionally though it's clear how much it pains you guys to hear it.

Too bad for you, we plan to elect him.

Only the spineless and ignorant resort to racist, religious, gender and ageist attacks on political candidates. Of course Americans recognize these desperate ploys when they occur - and that is why the Republican party is in such a shambles. The Obamas have keener ethics and higher morals in their breath than most Republicans have in their whole bodies. They rant for "change," but when real change from the old ways are offered up - they run away screaming in fear and loathing. They are so drowned in sameness they can't understand real change. The American voters can. That's why being a Republican in this election will be the kiss of death, and not a moment too soon.

Are you people crazy? I can understand if you want to criticize Obama's policies but to steep to such a deep state of ignorant bigotry is shameful -- and with your name signed at the bottom.

To comment on your bigoted remarks is hardly worth the effort, its obvious that you are unable to see yourself in the clear light of day, but if you had a single positive thought , you should feel ashamed for what you have written.

ok usually i am not offended by the idiots on these boards but as a "person of color" I ask this question WTF???? Sharon Alton "An Anti-Christ we can believe in" Are you stoned when you write tis dribble? Here's a fun fact for you Jesus Christ was....(wait for it)...BLACK!!! or at least a "person of color" you racist jerk! Skin of bronze (have you seen bronze no matter how tannned you are or try to be can you accopmplish the color of bronze.) Hair like lambs wool only one race has a history of hair curly like lambs wool. Screw Nostradamus! When you take on my race and say that if a Black man is voted president he must be the anti-Christ you unleash the hounds. Get your fact staright jerk! Obama is a man running for President nothing more. You want to know who the Anti-Christ is read the Bible. A-hole.

Poor Sarah Alton! It must be very hard to go through life so consumed by hatred and fear of dark-skinned people that she must twist Obama's every word and deed into something sinister and horrifying. I hope she gets well soon. g

@Sarah Alton

At first I was speechless. Really, I had no Idea where to start for a response. I could only imagine that this sort of ignorant, mindless, rhetoric was either brainwashed into you, or was simply a part of the right-wing propaganda machine in its ongoing attempts to discredit Obama.

I would hope that the latter is accurate because in that case you are at least aware of the bullsh*t you are spewing forth. If the former is in fact correct well then I feel sorry for you, I would even go as far as to guess that you believe that Obama is a secret Muslim who hates all white people, which is what most conservatives are trying to push on us.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and believe you are not blissfully unaware of the world around you, and I would request that you stop attempting to dump your crap on us. As polls are showing, the American people are waking up and are thankfully less inclined to listen to the lies of you and your peers.

If you really do believe what you are saying why don't you do your homework instead of spouting off whatever gossip floats your way. Obama and his wife are devout Christians and who obviously never proclaimed anyone as the next messiah. To tell the truth, I laughed at that part of your idiotic rant. I haven't actually heard that one before.

I mean seriously Sarah, if God didn't do anything when the American people blindly followed Bush into Iraq, chances are good he will only be smiling when we finally take a step back in the right direction and vote Obama into office.

What a big, whining, hypocrite. He's ripped into Hillary as a racist, going after her both as a White House wife AND as a candidate; he's ripped into Bill for worse, so unless he's admitting he's sexist, a spouse is a spouse. Even the Clinton daughter has been a mark for hit pieces and attacks, called a "prig" for not wanting to talk about her father's sex life and how it impacts his mother, a disgustingly crude and "low class" behavior. But Obama sure never stood up against that.

Michelle is being attacked for what SHE said BY CHOICE; IF she weren't black and the press weren't beniding over backwards to "annoint" Obama, to make a statement about "change" and "openness to color" at this point in history, she'd have gotten a LOT more from the start.

He also never spoke up in favor of giving the voters of FLA and MI their say: to the contrary, he was only too happy to take that unfair gift from a bungling Democratic party. IF he wins the nod, the election will be stolen.

Ferraro is right that he's a sexist, and he uses other people's embarrassments to his advantage by design, but he and his wife's comments, and WRight's until Wright himself made that untenable, are excused by historical black injustice in America. God help us if this man becomes President, what a tightly wound, manipulative bigot who uses PC weapons and personal attacks to get his way.

But he won't win -- he has a passionate core of supporters but American won't vote for him in the election.

John's got it right here. I've been watching this unfold also and see alignment between Obama and this prophesied messiah-like leader.

The timing of his Presidential term would lead us right into the much-discussed December 21, 2012 date spoken of by numerous prophetic leaders. A required national and world ID, as spoken of in Scripture, is another element that is coming up fast.

Keep an eye on what's happening in Israel for more insight.

The anti christ is a man from the east, who has ties with asia, and comes as a man of peace, lures his followers like a messiah... only to wreak havoc in the world. Yes, Nostradamus' prediction pretty much describes this man of change... OBAMA!

You have to laugh at the pathetic attempt at these lonely bloggers who are trying to derail the Obama train..you would be funny if you weren't so pathetic..your fear tactics won't work this time..the people are smarter than they were 8 years ago or 4 years ago when John Kerry got swiftboated out the race..lol..too funny..it's almost going to be embarassing when Obama debates your bumbling candidate McCain so I guess you'll do all you can b4 that embarassing moment. If Obama is the anti-christ then what does that make Huckabee or the entire Bush administration?

Michelle Obama runs her mouth with anti-American hate every day and then his holiness Barack says that she should be off limits in the campaign?

Again he wants it both ways and is holler than all.

Barack Obama is not who he says he is.

hey Rys-Kampf & alton

you sound more MEINKAMPF...

EDUCATE yourself and BURN IN IGNORANCE !

Sarah, you have just as extreme thoughts as the terrorists we are trying to defend the country against. The young people need someone to look up to. They are Generation Next. Our problems may not be solved in one candidate but it could in their lifetime. You are reading way to much into the words of Michelle. Where do you get this idea about disqualifying his Senate opponents? His opponent cheated on his wife among other things. He can't help that. What is wrong with a little HOPE that things will get better. It may be all we have.....

I agree with Sarah Alton------------ To The Voice Of Reason------------ Maby Obama is still on drugs.--------Hey republicans, keep telling voters what you know about Michelle Obama. Michelle is an issue in this race because she is running her mouth in an ugly way about america. She wants to be in the white house but she also wants to talk down america. How dare Obama try to alone decide what the voters can and can not learn about him and Michelle. Maby not her money, but certainly her point of view.

I love how all the Obama supporters posts start by insulting people who have a different opinion than they do.

Your efforts to discredit people who say things that make you uncomfortable is very obvious. It's one thing if people are lying, but if you can't even handle the truth...

We can't talk about his mother.

We can't talk about his father.

We can't talk about his grandmother unless he does, brings her up as a "typical white person."

We can't talk about his wife.

We can't talk about his preacher.

We can't talk about his terrorist friends.

We can't talk about his voting record.

We can't talk about his religion.

We can't talk about appeasement.

We can't talk about race.

We can't talk about schooling.

We can't talk about his lack of experience.

We can't talk about his income.

We can't talk about his flag pin (or lack thereof).

We can't call him a liberal.

We can't say anything about him.

Jean,

3 things:

(1) I did not mention drugs in my post, so I am not sure why you directed your comment toward me.

(2) Maby is spelled M-A-Y-B-E

(3) I am not even remotely surprised that you agree with Sarah.

If you want to use political spouses as a reason to support a candidate, you must use the same standard to assess all of the nominees. Cindy McCain was a drug addict who stole prescription drugs from the American Voluntary Medical Team to support her habit. Bill Clinton is an adulterer. But, neither of those things would keep me from voting for the candidate that I think would make the best President.

As i started at the top of this comments page i was filled with very strong feelings, and i wasn't sure what i would be saying here. I just wanted to thank a few reasonable folks whose comments reeled me back into the realm of a rational dialogical approach. And that it what this country and world needs, a diplomatic stance that uses DIALOGUE as its most functional approach. Some would see this as dangerous and reckless, but i bet that they are not willing to talk themselves or about their own "political" positions in any reasonable manner.
"All trespassers will be shot" is a philosophy that is itself a dangerous and outmoded approach to global diplomacy.
Unless we can talk to each other... no one wins.

Oh No are we going to have to listen to this cry baby for the next 4 years? It's all about poor him, poor Michele everyone's a racist blah blah blah.

Obama is all talk and no substance. I have not heard one substantial plan from him. His wife is unsuitable for first lady. Her veneer and beneath that, the contempt, is so obvious.
I am not voting for Obama because he is a phony. He did not work on Chicagos's South side; he set himself up to clean up. He went to do good, and instead, he did well. He has no depth and is just rhetoric.
Unfortunately, we do not need merely rhetoric in America at the moment. We need substance.
geeegee

Why is it every time I hear Obama talk, Greg Stillson comes to mind??

Ahh the thin-skinned Obama family...

Parade his wife like some proud peacock. Have her say things that he doesn't dare say. (What a woos!) And then say she's off-limits like she's some dainty little flower.

If you (and Hillary) don't want your family members talked about, don't put them in the spotlight. You can't shamelessly use them for marketing your campaigns and then say that they're off-limits. OK - you can say it, but no one other than your lemming-like supporters are going to think you've got reason on your side.

If Michelle can't stand the heat, keep her back home with the kids.

Oh - and if you really love her, why are you making her a target? What man does that to his wife? Lets her stand in front of him while the bully-press is setting its sights on you.

And what are you going to do if WhackIneedaJob from Iran calls your wife a pig? Are you going to say to him, "Now, now - be nice."

Like I said - what a woos. And you have the gall to want the toughest job in the land?

The scary thing is you might get the job and the world will walk all over the U.S.A.

Of course, how much worse can it be than with President Bush going over to "our friends" the Saudi's with his hat out begging for relief at the pump?

Where's a REAL LEADER? We need one now.

Looks like Providence may have forsaken us.

I am not as concerned about Obama's spouse as I am more concerned about this candidate who seems to be long on talk and short on answers.
Obama's proclaimed willingness to meet, without precondition, during his first year as president with the leaders of Iran, Syria, North Korea, Venezuela and Cuba is troubling. Obama seems to be fond of saying that this behavior or that behavior is "unacceptable".....as...."in a meeting with the Iranians, Obama said he would make it clear that their behavior is "unacceptable". He appears to be very naive when it comes to matters of national security. Hillary Clinton is a tough negotiator and a strategic thinker. She is articulate and savvy. She is able to see the big picture. She has the endorsement of over 30 former admirals, generals and senior defense officials. Her role on the Senate Armed Services Committee has earned her the respect and endorsement of over 2000 vets/military personnel. Senator Clinton WILL BE our next POTUS.
..

What a load of guilt by association/donation crap Pringle's insufferable piece epitomizes!
This long-winded smear is too disgraceful for words other than those related to fecal matter. I have observed the amoral Clintons for more than thirty years. They are not only sociopaths; they are also supreme lawyers well versed in covering their own scurrilous tracks. Pringle's long-winded, convoluted tale of Obama's turban clad criminal associates has a major missing ingredient.....CREDIBILITY! As a lifelong Arkansas native and 30 year acquaintance of Bill and Hillary I can assure you they are dirty fighters and would stop at nothing to WIN. If Pringle's tale could derail Obama it would have happened YESTERDAY! Get Real. I hope Rob at opednews.com isn't paying her by the word. Murtishaw
