Bill Maher comments on Jeremiah Wright's comments on Obama
TV talk show host Bill Maher, who's gotten in some past controversy for comments on politics -- something about the 9/11 hijackers being brave or not cowards -- got going the other night about the Rev. Jeremiah Wright rejoining the public discussion after weeks of quiet.
In recent days Wright's given TV interviews and several public speeches including a defiant one (with video) earlier today at the National Press Club in Washington.
Maher (see video below) says what many people, most of them supporters of Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, who refused to disown Wright in his recent race speech, are saying to themselves about the impact of the pastor's reappearance and resulting news coverage just as the Democratic Party presidential primary comes down to crunch time and the last few primaries between Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Wright has class and a record of serving his country in the Marines. Maher has neither class nor a record of serving his country, he is only serving himself, and the same can be said of Huffington.
Bill Maher and Huffington are each others biggest fans. Maher is a shrill loud mouth know it all. Huffington is the best journalist money she can buy.

So, the bigger issue gets pushed aside, in order to serve expedience and convenience? The bigger issue, the blatant misrepresentation of Reverand Wrights sermons by the corporate media, providing the excuse for a segment of our society hiding behind a press-induced misrepresentation and vent their discriminatory proclivities and do it without appearing to be racist!! It's NeoCons' philosophy all over again, win at all cost!! Distort, lie and above all do not discuss relevant issues, you will not be elected, if you do. Don't we have it backwards? Shouldn't those who distort and lie, not be elected? Yet, they are being elected, every year. That is why America is in the soup, right now, we are electing liars and hypocrites. I guess that is what we want, as a nation, because if we didn't, we wouldn't elect these scoundrels!!!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE. NOW.

Wright may not speak for Obama but his antics, arrogance and self-important narcissism call into question Obama's seriously questionable judgment -- he stuck around with this arrogant jerk for 20 years!
Would someone tell Arianna Huffington to learn to speak English instead of Donald Duck?
She's the equally annoying bookend to Ahnold Collifornia Schwarzenegger.
meanwhile Bring on the debates. Let the actual voters decide instead of the nattering annoying arrogant self-indulgent pundits and over-privilege tv personalities ... i'm sick of them trying to tell me what to think and how to vote. and who should be in or out....

No doubt about it - Wright is disdainfully arrogant. What concerns me is the timing of his "glorious" charade.
IF the Clintons manipulated this, woe be the Democratic Party and their support for her candidacy. IF the Clintons succeed through inciting and festering racism, provoking extremism, our country - as never before - will resurrect the annuals of civil disobedience.
IF THIS IS HOW ELECTIONS ARE WON, and the Clintons win, their legacy will go down in history as the new age of social rape on ignorance and doublespeak perversion of democracy.

What the hell are we spending all these hours on Wright, his church, his teachings, blah, blah, blah, when 4,056 US servicemen and women are dead. Dead to their loved ones, dead to living their potential, dead to the promise that they could have had? Nero was playing the violin, it is said, when Rome was burning. Well, Bush is leading a band and all smiles, news media all joking and smiles at his dancing abilities, and cable is trying to blast Obama into the depths by constantly, and I mean constantly, concentrating on Rev. Wright. Enough already!!!!
Talk about the war, about my gasoline bill, about my health insurance, the country's place in history and the world. Talk about the world my grandchildren are inheriting., Please!!!!!!
Oh, vote, please the Obama ticket.

Obama is trying to STEAL this election with delegates given to him because of race, caucuses that kept MANY from being able to vote, buying the election and NOT counting Florida and Michigan! These are Americans that he and the Democrat Party are ignoring!! SEAT THE DELEGATES IN MICHIGAN AND FLORIDA! He stopped new Primaries! When those are counted...HE LOSES! HE IS TRYING TO STEAL THIS ELECTION! OBAMA IS STEALING THIS ELECTION! AND WE WILL NOT ACCEPT IT!

If you don't want to worry about $3.00 and $4.00 per gallon gasoline prices, vote for Senator Obama. Surrendering in Iraq will bring $10.00 per gallon prices.

It appears that Obama's chickens have come home to roost. You can't be "Black-On" and appeal to Middle America at the same time, foo'. Pick one...you must pick only one. The longer he refuses to make an actual choice, the more hilarious this mess is going to get.
For this reason and many others, the first black POTUS will be a Republican.
Interesting how the Mighty Mahr has no opposition on that program. Interesting that the Left's automatic response to negativity is to urge the shutting off of the lines of communication...they're all for debates as long as they're simply hours-long regurgitation of Dem talking points to softball questions. The minute they think too much truth is coming to light, the more apt they are to say, "Ok...we've discussed this enough already."
2008 will be absolute proof that the Left is dead. They will fail to capture the White House in spite of the GWB presidency - a presidency that has featured eight straight years of negative media coverage. It just goes to show that isolated pockets of Leftist elites are, indeed, not representative of anything but their insignificant selves.

I find it hilarious that the left is now screaming about the "corporate media's" treatment of Rev Wright.
Those of us who have served in this nations miliatry in Afghanistan and Iraq have been jumping up and down about the MSM's incompetence and propogandizing for the last 5 years.
How does it feel to have the complexities of these very important issues boiled down to sound bites that will get ratings? How does it feel when someone that you believe in is demonized in order to sell newspapers? How does it feel when you watch the media destroy a nobel message and just effort?
Of course, all of you liberals believe the "corporate media" only "speaks truth to power "when there reporting supports your agenda.
Semper Fidelis.

This crowd lives in a world of drivel and double standards. Maher acting like it's some revelation that 19% of people surveyed say that race is a factor...what a joke.
Has anyone the brains to question what is the percentage of blacks that are voting for Obama solely on the basis of race ?? 80, 90% ??
Most blacks will openly admit this, because they are allowed a different standard than whites in expressing their honest views. And the Maher's of the world are too leftist to even see the hypocrisy.
To the Maher's, racism by blacks is just fine. But let a non-black admit to being affected by race, and it's a subject for sarcasm and ridicule.
I, for one, am not voting on the basis of color or gender --- and I don't feel a tinge of guilt for not dreaming of a black or female in the White House. How un-American to do anything otherwise.

If you ask me, President Bush is an American hero. Because despite the retarded ridicule he gets from the liberal media as well as from those who are anti-Bush buttheads, he has the courage to stand against terrorism. And if anyone refuses to stand with him against terrorism, or is too chicken to do so, then you are a coward! This includes you, Maher, you fool!
PRAISE GOD FOR PRESIDENT BUSH!!
