That didn't take long--Spitzer T-shirts and Client #9 buttons

March 12, 2008 |  1:12 am

The Client #9 T-shirt from www.cafepress.com and the Gov Eliot spitzer scandal

The economy may be slowing, but topical entrepreneurs sure aren't.

In less than 30 hours they've produced a whole line of Eliot Spitzer doodads and knickknacks, marking the commercial celebration of the sex scandal involving the New York governor and his alleged taped connections to a prostitution ring.

There are Client #9 T-shirts and boxers and sweatshirts and hats and mugs and, of course, thongs that cover "sweet spots without covering your assets." There's apparel that says "Eliot, phone home."

There are shirts showing the zealous former prosecutor, saying "Do as I say, Not as I do." And one that says simply, "I was Client #8 and all I got was this lousy T-shirt."

None of the items, by the way, cost $5,500.

The above is my personal fav ..maybe just because he looks so dignified. Like he is about to go out an bust a huge prostitution ring, then come home and call up a $5,500 an hour hooker
