Hillary Clinton's passport files reportedly breached, too
BREAKING NEWS: The folks over at CNN are reporting that Hillary Clinton's passport files had been breached, too, in 2007. The State Department already has fired two contract employees and reprimanded a third person for illicit peeks into Barack Obama's passport files.
We'll update as warranted. There already are calls in Congress for a more complete investigation, including one by Rep. Henry Waxman. The text of the release is on the jump. But with Congress controlled by Democrats and President Bush's approval ratings on a par with Mississippi Valley State's offense, watch this boil well into summer.
UPDATE: Yep, apparently John McCain's were broken into, too. Makes it a trifecta.

Chairman Waxman Requests the State Department Release
the Identity of the Companies that Accessed Obama Passport File
WASHINGTON, DC — Chairman Henry A. Waxman sent the following letter to Secretary of State Rice today. The text of the letter follows:
Dear Madam Secretary:
Yesterday, Ambassador Patrick Kennedy, the Under Secretary of State for Management, confirmed that three contract employees working for two State Department contractors gained unauthorized access to the passport records of Senator Barack Obama. When Ambassador Kennedy was asked for the identities of the contract employees and the companies, however, he declined to provide them:
Question: Are you releasing the names of any of these three contractors or the companies for which they were contracting on behalf of the State Department? …
Ambassador Kennedy: In a word, no.
I am writing to request that you provide the Oversight Committee by Monday with the identities of the companies involved in these breaches. I also believe this information should be made publicly available.
The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is the principal oversight committee in the House of Representatives and has broad oversight jurisdiction as set forth in House Rule X.
Sincerely,
Henry A. Waxman
Chairman

Hey just stopping by to get my dose of green info. Always good stuff here! I am trying to compile a list of stuff I can do to reduce my carbon emissions. MTV had a commercial about it, and got me interested. I have been to www.earthlab.com and they have a ton of tips but I was mostly impressed by their page where they have their users send in tips: http://www.earthlab.com/life/tips.aspx Does anyone else know of other data bases that I can find these types of small things that lower my emissions? EPA or WWF maybe?
Thanks for all your info and drop me a link if you guys see anything worth my time.

What information, that is not already public, can you get from this source?
(The old ones pretty much just your Soc. Sec. No. The new ones with the metal coded strip may somehow track your ins and outs from the country. Don't know.)

Obama probably trumped up the charge on a slow news day to get Condoleeza Rice to call him, and make some news with her. That's Obama's style.
3 Poeple were fired, but what does Obama care, he got a smiling picture of him with Condoleeza Rice up front on the web, and that's a coup.
He's a vote whore. Nothing More. What is he offering US?
Hillary is someone I trust to work hard to bring America back to Peace and Prosperity, but Obama has AXELROD his ruthless Press agent and Obama is a wolf in sheeps clothing and he''l seel tons of books and I doubt if he cares if Democrats go down in the end. Obama is a fraud. I read extensively about him on the web and he is certainly not who he claims to be.
