Bill Clinton phones Gennifer Flowers
Some of you may remember the name Gennifer Flowers.
She's the alleged other woman from a previous presidential campaign, that of then-Gov. Bill Clinton. In 1992, Flowers publicly claimed to have had a 12-year affair with the politician, who then went on national TV sitting next to his supportive wife, Hillary Clinton, who's now in her own presidential campaign.
According to Flowers, she came home the other day, punched the Retrieve button on her answering machine and gasped as she heard the familiar voice of that same man, Bill Clinton.
It was, however, only one of those automated campaign phone calls and Bill just wanted to tell Gennifer how much he would really appreciate her support and to vote for his wife, who's ready to become president on "Day One."
"Now, it's funny," Flowers says in an interview on "Extra" tonight. "At the time it almost gave me a heart attack."

The really strange part? The actual recording machine that called Gennifer Flowers and left that message claims it never had "electoral communications" with that woman.

Mr. Malcolm,
I would like to tell YOU two things;
1) The stories you dig up, are a breath of fresh air, and I admit that those who follow politics, like myself, need a little humor to balance things out. Sometimes I laugh by myself and people around the office question my sanity. But who cares!
2) Keep it up and kudos to you!
3) Are you sure the phone message Ms. Flowers received was just a "recording"?
See what you did?
(Well, thank you for your nice words. We do focus quite a bit on trying to keep the mix and content unpredictable and interesting. It's fun for us,too. Nice to know it works, at least for you. Thanks for coming and I'll look for your name regularly in the future. P.S. To picture a reader laughing in their office made my day! Here's an idea: Tell your co-workers to check the site too.)

Now, was that a "real" message from campaign organizers? Define "campaign phone message" in comparison to an "automated campaign phone call"?
Or, it really wasn't a "campaign message" because it "beeped" after the message was done. Therefore is was "call-back" message and I inhaled.
