Hillary Clinton turns Jersey crowd her way big-time

Hillary Clinton has been away from South Carolina in recent days, looking ahead to the 20-plus Feb. 5 voting states, while her husband Bill makes the steady beat of campaign attack news against Sen. Barack Obama in the Palmetto State.

But last night in North Bergen, N.J., she brought the usual end of her standard stump speech to a new level. Typically, the New York senator tries to end her campaign remarks on a crescendo, calling on voters to help her in the primaries and then on into the general election. But an unusual moment came at the end of a long day of campaigning in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Clinton seemed to get carried away in the fervor of the suburban crowd in North Bergen, concluding her speech by shouting out, "Will you help me!?" not once, not twice, not thrice.

But six times!

And the crowd eagerly answered: Yes!

Her voice slightly hoarse, she then concluded: "If you help me, I will restore pride and progress in America!"

She had the already enthusiastic ballroom crowd of several hundred in a near frenzy. Then, she headed back to the crucial state of South Carolina.

Please New Jersey, before you agree to "help" the manipulative Ms Clinton, ask her to release her White House records Before next January. Ask her why she heads the list of Judicial Watch's 2007 Most Corrupt Politicians (Rudi also made the list). Look deeper into her corporate and special interest contributors. Consider if you really want the most polarizing person in America running our country. Do you really want the established Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton connection to continue?

Post-Bush, how can anyone still be inclined to think that Hillary Clinton is not the right person for the job?
The huge mess that the inept Bush created during this past 7 years is enough to make the head swell.
It will take real change for the White House to regain it's dignity, not to mention wipe out the huge deficit that now faces the country.

Clinton may not be likeable, not like Obama is.
But by accounts, Bush was a most likeable guy too.
Someone you would want to have a glass of beer when you want to kick back.
But liking someone is one thing, capability is another.

I do not have illusions about the Clintons.
They are the ones who wiped out the deficit they inherited from Bush senior and stocked up on the surplus to a staggering 230 billion dollars.

If they did it before, they sure can do it again.
You may not like them, but post Sept 11, post Bush and amidst this economy crisis, the Clintons tag-team are the ones to entrust the keys to the White House to.
Don't vote for another inexperience, day dreamer again.

The Clintons did not wipe out the defecit, the booming economy did. Federal spending increased each year under Clinton just as it had during the Reagan and Bush years before him. The difference is that the amount of money coming in DOUBLED from 1992 to 2000. Why did it double? Mostly from Individual and Corporate Income Tax receipts, i.e. the booming economy.

Don't give the Clintons credit for something they had no control over.

All of the candidates want the war to end, that should be a big step towards balancing the budget.

As for Hillary Clinton's "experience" smokescreen, read this: http://www.slate.com/id/2182073/

I'm not sure how HIllary can restore pride and progress in America when she ran AD's in SC that shamelessly and knowingly distorted her opponent record. Hillary needs to start by restoring some pride in her own campaign.

I'd vote for McCain before I vote for Clinton, Last thing we need is another hypocrite 'rove style' president in office.

Go Obama/Edwards!!

I HAVE A QUESTION, IF 'BILL-ARY" GETS INTO THE WHITE HOUSE WILL SHE

BRING BACK ALL THE THINGS THAT THE TWO OF THEM STOLE ?

ARE MONICA LEWINSKI AND JENNIFIER FLOWERS ET AL, GETTING

INVITATIONS TO THE INAUGURAL BALL?

WE DON'T NEED THESE CARPETBAGGERS IN WASHINGTON AGAIN !

Hillary's "35 years in politics" and her tactics shoudl be enough to have her fail the Democratic nomination. Will vote Republican if she is at all on the ticket.

to SF girl---I just took a look at the Judicial Watch Top Ten list. The socalled accusations, which mostly were leveled at Democrats (6 out of 10) and Republicans, are laughably unfounded if not nonsensical. I am at a loss about the meaning of "corrupt". Is he "corrupt" when Larry Craig was arrested and convicted in the bathroom drama (so trivial)? Hillary was honorably placed on top of the list because she blocked the relaese of her White House records and this website alleged that "Many suspect these records contain a treasure trove of information related to her role in a number of serious Clinton-era scandals." ?How ridiculous it is to base these accusations on conjecture and hearsay. The only people who want these files so bad are Hillary haters, the Republicans and her political adversaries. Even President Ford asked to release his critique of friends and foes only after his death. I don't see anything wrong with with-holding some of them that might be damaging to her campaign until after the genenral election . This website is nothing but a joke and anyone who tries to invoke this "finding" is as deceiving and disingenuous as the website itself.
By the way, Obama is not short of polarizing qualities when the issue of color and race is brought up and, despite his effort to avoid being viewed as a black candidate, the racial fault line will become all the more obvious in the general election when voters of all colors are confronted with the reality of electing the first Afrian-American president.

to lois mansavage---go vote Republican. we Democrats don't need your vote!
All Democrats should rally behind whoever gets the nomination whether it's Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama if we want to sweep the Republicans out of the White House and both Houses. All venomous attacks against the Clintons are ill-fated and doomed to fail.

to F. Koegel---one thing I am sure is that YOU won't be on the list. For God's sake, just leave Monica alone. is that all you can remember? people like you is just disgusting.

to Hoboken---you just tricked yourself. the best part is that Bill Clinton was able to keep spending while amassing a huge surplus over his 8-year presidency. Why? sound fiscal policy that spurred a bustling economy which in turns contributed to balooning tax receipts.
By the way, were we supposed to have a great economy promised by GW Bush in 2000 when he started to cut tax? Why we are in such dire straits now? Just the opposit of what Bill Clinton did plus starting a costly war that dips us deeply in the red. It's THE ECONOMY STUPID! ask yourself who dug us into this astronomical deficit after just 4 years in the White House.
When irrationality replaces sanity, truth becomes expendables.

The comments made by the BUSH administration about the Clintons removing items from the White House was retracted YEARS ago. I wonder how much upholstery was ruined by the Bush twins puking on them.lol The White House is currently home to a family of alcoholics.

IF
Hillary were a truly "Liberated" woman she wouldn't need Bill to assist her.
BILL
should go on a cruise -or- to a desert island with no cel phone, lap top -or- any other communicative device until about Nov 7, at least.
Then Hil would be "on her own".
