McCain's senior assets in Florida
Take that, Chuck Norris.
His advancing years could actually help John McCain in today's Republican presidential primary in Florida, the Wall Street Journal reports. Norris, in his new role as political sidekick to Mike Huckabee in the GOP race, recently played the age card against McCain.
Here's the crucial statistic from the Journal piece: "Senior citizens account for 16.8% of Florida's population, compared with 12.4% nationwide, according to the Census Bureau, and are the most avid voters."
McCain, 71, would be the oldest person elected president. He usually tries to make light of that fact, often joking that he's "older than dirt."

John McCain's age isn't important. Whether he will be a fair President is important. I hope he does well in the Florida primary election today.

Will the real John McCain please stand up?
I am so tired of the leaving Iraq would be surrendering...to who?
Al Queda...no...you can't surrender to a group.
Iraq...no...we would just be leaving and letting them work out the politics.
Saddam...no...he is no longer with us.
Staying in Iraq and policing the streets so our defense contracters can make
million$ does not make our country safer. WE WON!!! Remember Mission
Accomplished...no more WMD's and no more Saddam.
When Democrats invade a country...they want to stay and save face.
When Republicans invade a country...they want to stay and save face.
Please watch John "let them win" McCain back in 1993 & 1994:

McCain is old and he acts it in the worst possible way. He is bitter and angry and performed terribly in all of the debates. He scowls and blames everyone else. Newsweek exposed McCain as a consistent liar. The man knows nothing of the economy and is becoming an embarrassment to Arizona. His wife isn't helping either.

McCain's age shouldn't be made an issue. Chuck Norris made a mistake. He made the statement at his ranch for a Huckabee fundraiser and he was only explaining why he decided not to support McCain. Mike Huckabee has distanced himself from Norris' remarks on this and when given the opportunity to make an issue of this during the last presidential debate, he clearly and lightheartedly stated that he doesn't agree. This isn't an issue. It's just the media trying to make a big issue of Churck Norris being honest about why he decided not to support McCain. Norris is entitled to his opinion and to express it honestly. I think the most unfortunate part about the mistake is that it gives certain pundits more fuel to try to slam Huckabee, not McCain (because his credentials and record are solid so silly things like this are given attention for weeks).
