The fallen candidates endorsement tally

November 7, 2007 |  9:33 am

A little housekeeping for those of you keeping track: Kansas senator and former Republican presidential candidate Sam Brownback this morning threw his support behind John McCain for the GOP nomination.  Former candidate Tommy Thompson has already endorsed Rudy Giuliani.  Former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore has yet to back any of the other candidates.

So, that means the following:

Robertson endorses Guliani: An over-the-hill insane pro-life fundamentalist evangelist endorses a pro-choice dress-wearing chickenhawk. Makes no sense except that it gives the kiss of death to the Guliani campaign, which is overdue anyway.

Brownback endorses McCain: One broke ex-candidate endorses another broke current candidate. Non-story.

Meanwhile, the Ron Paul Revolution rolls on...but he may not be allowed into the Iowa debate and be shut out by the Romney supporters that are running the Iowa GOP and the debate as they exercise a blatant conflict of interest. Nice of the Iowa GOP leadership to show just how unethical and unprofessional they are...

I was glad to read that Senator Brownback has endorsed Senator McCain. Both of these men have the guts to tell the truth to the American people. They both believe in the right to life. They also understand this nation needs to defeat Islamic fascism in order to insure the survival of Western civilization.I think John McCain and Sam Brownback would make a terrific Republican ticket for next year's general election.
