Obama outsources NYC phone banking
And Barack Obama supporters around the country get the unpaid work. Adding a new wrinkle to the traditional "get 'em while they're eating dinner" campaign strategy, the Obama campaign's social networking tools now let supporters sign in to the website, where they can get a list of first names and phone numbers of New York City residents to call and urge to attend a Sept. 27 Obama rally in Manhattan's Washington Square Park.
Oh, and when you sign in and request numbers, you get a little warning that the people you're calling might not necessarily be Obama supporters. Yep. They're using the faithful to make cold calls. From anywhere in the country. This should go over well.

Actually, if I'm going to get a dinner-time call about a candidate, I would MUCH rather get one from a real person who genuinely supports that candidate. I look forward to such an opportunity.

Obama is lucky to be running in what's considered a 'democratic year'... he raises twice the money of his opponent ... allowing him to buy 2 or 3 times as many ads and t.v. commercials ... he enjoys the biased media's gift of being coddled ... as well as receiving 4 times the print and airtime exposure over his opponent ... and, now he's going to spend millions more on phone banks to further insure his purchase of the Presidency of the United States ... and yet, with all this going for him, McCain is still nipping at Obama's heels ... and, maybe even 4 points ahead, according to one of the polls ... so, why are half of the people in America still apprehensive about Obama? ... because even with all the hard core marketing, voters know that he is an unqualified, inexperienced candidate, with 20 years of unsavory associations ... and ... the Presidency of the United States is much too important for us to allow Obama to purchase it.
