Sound Off: The governor's new budgets

03:11 PM PT, May 15 2009

Schwarzenneger-APPhoto-RichPedroncelli Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger issued two revised budget outlines Thursday for the coming fiscal year -- one that assumes passage of Propositions 1A through 1E on May 19, the other based on the more likely result of them failing. Both are grim, but the latter is more drastic, calling for nearly $6 billion in additional borrowing and belt-tightening. Critics on both sides of the political spectrum accused the governor of engaging in scare tactics in a last-ditch bid to salvage the ballot measures. What do you think?

ALTIMATE FATE OF VOTE THE BALLETS 1A-1F IS OVERWHELMING FOR MOST VOTERS AND LET ALONE THE ECONOMY IN DIRE

THE ALTIMATE OUTCOME IS NOTHING BUT ANGER AND FRUSTRATION OVER THE STATE LEGISLATOR INABILITY TO MANAGE MONEY WITH THE DIRE ECONOMIC STRAIGHTS. CALIFORNIA WILL HAVE TO PAIR ITS BUDGET DOWN AND LIVE WITHIN ITS MEANS. THAT MEANS LEGISLATORS GO PART-TIME. NO MORE PORK PROJECTS, LESS WELFARE, AND FINALLY, NO FRILLS IN SPENDING.

All you liberals that support the nanny state of California as it is now should say to yourselves WWRRD (What Would Ronald Reagan DO). I remember living in California in the very early eighties even though the Economy sucked back then too, I don't remember California being in the sorry state it is in now. All I remember is that you did not have to get your car inspected and insurance on it was an option LOL.
