Baseball: Players try to make USA 15U team this weekend

Several local players will be in Cary, N.C., beginning Saturday trying to make the USA 15 national team that is being coached by former Chatsworth Coach Tom Meusborn, with Harvard-Westlake's Matt LaCour serving as an assistant.

Among the players on the 40-man tryout team are Isaak Gutierrez and Brandon Moore of St. John Bosco, Christian Moya of Bishop Amat, Manuel Perez of Corona Centennial, Logan Pouelsen of Huntington Beach, Nick Pratto of Mater Dei, Blake Sabol of Aliso Niguel and Chase Strumpf of JSerra.
