Jeffrey Fisher, the track and cross-country coach at Beverly Hills who helped guide state champions Alex Rohani in the 400 and Sydney Segal in girls’ cross country, has been dismissed as coach, creating an uproar among ‘distraught’ members of the team, according to Chanan Batra, a team member this past season.

In an email, Batra said there were 10 seniors who stood in front of the entire track team at the team banquet two weeks ago, tears streaming down their faces, ‘describing what an impact this man has made in our lives.’
