Football: Mater Dei wins Dana Hills tournament [Video]

June 8, 2013 |  7:25 pm

Santa Ana Mater Dei went 7-0 and defeated West Hills Chaminade, 14-13, in the championship game of the seven on seven Dana Hills passing tournament on Saturday.

Quarterback Chase Forrest and defensive back-receiver Jonathan Lockett were the standouts for the Monarchs.

Chaminade's only two losses on the day were to Mater Dei.

Hart and Santa Margarita made it to the semifinals. Hart junior quarterback Brady White and junior receiver Trent Irwin were tough to stop most of the day. Santa Margarita sophomore quarterback K.J. Costello showed he's going to be a good offensive weapon.
