Football: Damien has no worries about its kicking game [Video]

June 24, 2013 |  8:57 am

First-year Coach Mark Paredes of La Verne Damien has one thing he doesn't need to worry about: his team's kicking game.

Damien long snapper Tanner Carew, an Oregon commit, is considered the best in the nation for what he does. And kicker Tristan Vizcaino isn't too shabby himself, having made five of six field goals last season.

"They're great players," Paredes said.

Carew also starts at tight end and linebacker for Damien. Vizcaino will play safety and some receiver this season. Paredes wants to take advantage of their athletic ability.

Both were in action last weekend at the Chris Sailer kicking and Chris Rubio long snapping camp.

Vizcaino picked up a scholarship offer from Washington State on Monday.
