Boys’ basketball: Fairfax tournament schedule

There shouldn’t be a better summer basketball tournament than the one at Los Angeles Fairfax that begins on Monday, because schools are expected to be a full strength for one of the few times in the summer.

Monday night, in particular, is loaded with outstanding games.

Monday’s schedule: Santa Monica vs. Loyola, 4 p.m.; Corona Centennial vs. Crespi, 5:30 p.m.; Compton vs. Chino Hills, 7 p.m.; El Camino Real vs. Harvard-Westlake, 8:30 p.m.

Tuesday’s schedule: Chaminade vs. Orange Lutheran, 4 p.m.; La Canada vs. Fairfax, 5:30 p.m.; Brentwood vs. Mater Dei, 7 p.m.; Long Beach Poly vs. Alemany, 8:30 p.m.

I’m picking Compton to win it all.
